If involved in having to hold large areas of territory, I don't know if they have more people than we do.

If you remember Dmitry Medvedev was president for 4 years after Putin's first stint. Russia was not particularly anti-American at that point. If Trump by 2016 hasn't noticed this that is a deficit on him.

Pretty ****ing accurate. Nearly all are laser guided and can detect when an enemy missile is launched within seconds. Europe is safe from Russia because we've installed a shit load of these on the eastern side. There's practically zero chance of a long range missile getting through.

A computer would instantly run a reverse azimuth to find the origin of the fire within 10 meters, and automatically fire back, all within seconds. The newest anti-missile defense systems fire numerous missiles at speeds exceeding mach 4...

It's certainly plausible though, but the nuke would need to be fired from a real isolated location, like off the coast around northern CA and Oregon.
