I think if I practiced long enough, I could enter into competitions. I won a steak dinner from one of the PMI instructors by putting 8/10 in the head on a Mod B target at 500m with iron sights.

May be my greatest achievement.

But... normal people have to work and pay bills and shit. I shoot for fun fairly often, maybe once a month, but finding places to shoot at that range is a challenge. So, I usually end up going to a local range to shoot pistols.

The gun is about 2k , but competition is at 50 to 150 meters.

Do they fire differently? I feel like unless there's some significant drop in trajectory or wind playing a bigger role, that seems fairly simple.
