The LeBron Coasting Argument Is So Dumb
its just a crutch for LeBronies to use. the dude is among the league leaders in mpg every season and has actually played more mpg than Steph the last 3 years but somehow he's coasting. lmao. by the numbers its actually Steph whose the one coasting since he plays less minutes per game and regularly sits out 4th quarters because he's already destroyed teams in 3. the coasting thing is just something lebronies uses to discount lebron being outplayed by other guys during the season.

worked well in 2015 when he was healthy and wasn't limited coming off an MCL injury in the playoffs.

So you're saying LeBron is playing to his maxiumum ability during the regular season?

he's not giving any less effort than the other top players in the league. He's still out there playing huge minutes trying to put up huge numbers more so than many star players like Curry. funny how we didn't hear about coasting when lebron was winning mvps. literally the second lebron stopped winning the MVP it was because he was "coasting" not because Durant was just better than him in 2014.

Trust the process.
Re: The LeBron Coasting Argument Is So Dumb
You're an idiot.
I think last season shows how much Lebron coasts. He barely played defense and people(not me) legit thought Stephen was better.
When the playoffs came around he picked the intensity defensively. When his back was against the wall in finals he ended any argument that he's not clearly the best player in the league.
You knew this thread was too dumb to post on a main account so why even bother?

Curry is better. curry was significantly better in the 2015 regular season, the 2015 playoffs, and the 2016 regular season. in the playoffs last season he was hurt. lmao at expecting a guy coming off an mcl injury which caused him to miss 3 weeks to perform like he never got hurt. Warriors win that series if 5 if not for the league intervening and suspending Draymond, then you had Bogut going down, and Iggy's back giving up on him and what do you know LeBron finally goes off in games 5 and 6 when the Warriors are compromised. wasn't doing anything before dray suspension, and bogut/iggy injuries.also lmao at acting as if LeBron had some unprecedented playoff run when he didn't even score 30+ until game 6 of the conference finals. dude averaged 26.3 ppg on 58.5% TS in the playoffs. Curry in 2015 when he supposedly underperformed put up 28.3 ppg on 60.7% TS.

Re: The LeBron Coasting Argument Is So Dumb
He's certainly been coasting on defense the last 3 years...that can't be denied. To be fair, though, all that does is hurt himself since defense is defined by consistency...so he's just hurting his all time rank in that regard. (not that he's that high anyway as he was only great consistently for about 4 or 5 years anyway)

yes I agree defensively but offensively he's still going trying to put up huge stats. he just isn't as capable as he used to be in his Miami days.

Also when every team he played had key players out including their. Point guard.

Imagine the response if the 2015 Cavs won a championship against a Warriors team without Klay Thompson and Draymomd Green

Re: The LeBron Coasting Argument Is So Dumb
LeBron definitely coasts in the regular season. That doesn't mean he isn't out there trying to post stats and win games. What it means is he's not gonna kill himself every night playing 110%. He has a really good team around him, so he can play at 80-90% and still get W's. I think of all the players in the league, LeBron deserves to coast a little in the regular season. He did some serious heavy lifting his previous run in Cleveland, and he has a lot of miles on that body.
Curry is younger, and in his physical peak, so he should be out there trying to kill it. Curry wasn't coasting last year, he just got to play moderate minutes because of how well the team performed. When he was on the court, he was embarrassing other players and breaking records.

Re: The LeBron Coasting Argument Is So Dumb
lebron clearly coasts...last season as soon as he said he was gonna turn it up and shut down all media, he started beasting even more than his "chill mode" beasting
