Default Playoffs with the Last 16 Finals Losers

Seeded by years, all the teams that lost the finals.

*Injuries are all applied before game 1 (The exact same team that lost, meaning 2015 Cavs are without Kyrie and Love, and 2010 Celtics lose perkins etc)

2016 Golden State Warriors Vs 2001 Philadelpia 76ers
2015 Cleveland Cavaliers Vs 2002 New Jeresey Nets
2014 Miami Heat Vs 2003 New Jeresy Nets
2013 San Antonio Spurs Vs 2004 Los Angeles Lakers

2012 Oklahoma City Thunder Vs 2005 Detroit Pistons
2011 Miami Heat Vs 2006 Dallas Mavericks
2010 Boston Celtics Vs 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers
2009 Orlando Magic Vs 2008 Los Angeles Lakers

    Who wins these Playoffs?

I'm saying 2013 Spurs are my pick. I think that they have a good chance to win it all.

What do you guys think? Would love some input from guys who watched the early 2000's finals live.

The six we can easily scratch off are the
    '01 76ers
    '02 Nets
    '03 Nets
    '07 Cavs
    '09 Magic
'15 Cavs minus Kyrie & Love

The '14 Heat come perilously close to joining their ranks, that team was burnt out, most notably Wade, and got annihilated like we've never seen before once they played a legitimate team in the Finals

The rest of those teams though imo would all have a legitimate shot at the title

Then, 16 Warriors over 15 Cavs, 13 Spurs over 14 Heat, 05 Pistons over 11 Heat, 10 Celtics over 08 Lakers. 10 Celtics over 05 Pistons and lose to winner of warriors spurs. Leaning spurs like u but it's tough. Only tough early one is okc vs pistons. Okc has an argument for being top 5 even if I have them losing in the 1st round.

Dude the 09 Magic are easily a top 3 team out of the last 16 losers

Just so happens they ran into Prime Kobe

OKC is a dark horse to win a series, but I don't see them winning it all.
And I disagre with the Celtics over 05 Pistons, man that team was so close to repeating, and 10 Celtics had to pull some serious upsets to even be there
But yeah Spurs 2013 I think take it all.

I agree with all of your omissions.
One thing I'm wondering is what you guys think about 06' Heat and 11' Mavs?

Heat had Godmode Wade and a lesser version of Shaq, and 11' Mavs had to beat KD, Kobe and LBJ to win their ring.

    And their first match up?

    08' Kobe.
    See why they were omitted?

10 Celtics were a meh RS team but the Pistons weren't that dominant either. Only 4 wins better and had to upset the Heat who had injury problems. Trust Celtics to be better at winning close games but it's def not a clear choice.

2013 Spurs vs 2004 Lakers is an interesting match up. I gave it to the Lakers because of Kobe's tendency to rape the Spurs. Payton and Kobe will make Parker/Manu work for it, and Duncan won't dominate against Shaq like he did vs the Heat.

2011 Heat vs Dallas Mavericks.... The 06 Mavs just don't have the personnel needed to shut down LeBron like they did in 2011 IMO, but this could go both ways.

2005 Pistons vs OKC Thunder.... tough but the Thunder just has too much star power IMO.

    Others are pretty self explanatory

I think the 16 Warriors wins it all vs 2011 Heat or 2008 Lakers

2004 Shaq was so damn gooood. ...

Karl Malone Nostalgia, and Kobe's pride lost that series.
