If the graveyard voters aren't out in record amounts expect alot of media outlets to have egg on their face on November 8.
This is not being overlooked by the media. Your numbers are completely wrong which is why this scenario is not going play out the way you expect it to.
Gary Johnson wasn't allowed in the debates because the cutoff was 15% and as you note, he didn't make it. And he wasn't close at all
With the assistance of Dr. Newport, the Board determined that the polling averages called for in the third criterion are as follows: Hillary Clinton (43%), Donald Trump (40.4%), Gary Johnson (8.4%) and Jill Stein (3.2%).

Like they really would've invited Gary even if he was at 1/3. Lettuce be cereal.

So the media was also pushing one candidate fully that cycle as well, right?

Stop making a fool out of yourself and try dying with some dignity. I never once made a prediction about the Brexit before the vote. If you can find any evidence to contradict this, go ahead and post it.
I'll wait.

The media reflecting accurately what a horrible candidate for president Donald Trump is, is not pushing a candidate.
He truly is that bad.
No need to make up silly conspiracy theories for Gary Johnson either.
Seriously, do you think he would have done well on a debate stage?

No, the media takes one comment and blows it out of all possible proportion; unless your argument is that Trump is such a bad candidate that he causes people to lose their sanity and reason.
"oh, Trump is a dictator who wants to put his political opponents in prison" said the entire media in unison after debate number 2; "oh Trump won't accept the outcome of election and is shitting on US political tradition" after debate 3.
Both the comments were completely innocuous, and this media hysterically ran with them for days. Erm, there was a contested election in 2000, and it is the President's job to ensure the law is executed.
The media is a joke, and they've been terribly exposed this election. Media trust is at an all time low, and with good reason. To deny that the media has been constantly propagandizing for Clinton is to basically admit you're a Clinton shill with no sense of objectivity or fair play.
