Because of his rebounding skillset, he probably actually makes the most sense in the modern NBA as a center, believe it or not. Right now, that spot for playing time behind Gobert is open between Bolomboy and Tony Bradley, so he has an opportunity.
too small for the 4 let alone the 5. Favors is Rudy's back-up unfortunately

Hayward left a team where he was the undisputed top player to go to a team where he’ll be in a supporting role.
Certainly is disputed. In Boston he will be the man rather he leads in scoring or not

Ever since drafting him as a rookie in 2010 and paying him $2.5 million to sign, the Jazz have nurtured Hayward, making him the focal point of the team, steering the offense to him, giving him everything he ever asked for.
They didn't give him max a couple years ago. They didn't try to win games until last year and they weren't all in. Didn't sign Hill...

“That year he got the offer from Charlotte, I was screaming to my wife or anyone who would listen, ‘Let him go,’” says Sudbury. “I didn’t feel he showed any loyalty to the Jazz at that time. The handwriting was on the wall.
Loyalty is taking less money? Just because Stockton took a lot less money to stay here while the Millers rolled in money you can't expect others to

“As much as he’s done to improve himself over the years, I’ve never had confidence in him making big shots,” he says. “That’s why I was excited when we got Joe Johnson, because that’s Big Shot Joe.”
different player in the playoffs. Where was Big shot against the Warriors? Could have used him

And if Ingles is allotted increased playing time, it's reasonable to think that his scoring average should jump up well into double digits.
if he's called on to score they are in big trouble

If Ingles doesn't take Hayward's spot in the starting lineup, then how about 16-year NBA veteran Joe Johnson, who spent most of last season playing power forward but, at 6-7, has the savvy experience, versatility and shooting ability to slide over to the small forward spot.
Played best at the 4. He needs to be traded

This past season, he averaged 22 minutes per game playing behind George Hill. The popular opinion in Jazzland is that a lot of those minutes would have been better served in the hands of former No. 5 overall pick Dante Exum.
    despite Dante mostly sucking bad!

With Mack on the outs, Exum is in line for a larger role with the Jazz next season.
Hayward being gone could factor in his minutes more.

he was arguably the best player at the Utah Jazz Summer League in Salt Lake City last week, averaging 20 points, six assists and four rebounds over a three-game stretch.
    you would hope

[QUOTE]Everyone is telling me to keep summer league basketball in perspective and not get too excited about Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell, but that's not easy.

The unavoidable first impression of this guy is to say he's the best rookie in 10 years. I mean, the Jazz haven't brought in anyone like him since Kyrylo Fesenko in 2007.

You remember Fes. The center from Ukraine was always entertaining in interviews and intermittently productive on the court. He played a key, fill-in role in the Jazz's playoff series win over Denver in 2010

This is more like it. 38 wins in their conference would be successful considering how the wizard has let the team become what it is

Exum will still be behind Ricky Rubio in the depth chart next season
He's got a chance to start opposite him and not even play the 1
