Rudy is as dominant as many of the past greats named Ewing, Mourning, Robinson, Eaton and Olajuwon.
one name out of place there

So Ingles will be the only starter that can shoot now?

I do think they need a young 3 to develop but another guy that can't shoot?

Griffin will be an end of the bench energy guy if he's around I'd think

With the Sefolosha signing, Utah’s roster currently stands at 13. Barring some kind of trade, the acquisition all but confirms that Ingles will start at the three spot for the Jazz next season.
Got to think they aren't done. You have Rubio, Ingles, Favors and Gobert starting you'd think as ugly as that looks. I'd hope Exum or Mitchell could start at the 2 as a 3 and D at least. One of them or Neto behind Rubio. Hood and Burks leading the offense off the bench on the wing though Burks could play the 1 too though I doubt it. And now Thabo in the mix. Seems like they need help up front still especially since Favors, Johnson and Diaw make little sense long term which means Favors will probably be signed to an extensionand Diaw's option picked up as well the way things are going. Have no idea what they are doing anymore.

Like teammate Joe Johnson, he's also capable of playing power forward in small-ball lineups.
Now he actually might make sense there. He shoots decently enough for a 4. Trade Johnson and let him back-up Favors especially since Bolomboy doesn't look ready for primetime after all?

The Jazz aren't finished trying to add to their team, either. The Salt Lake Tribune has learned that Utah is in the market for another forward and another big man to back up Gobert.
Favors is the back-up I imagine. Have to stagger him and Gobert to stretch the floor at all. Hopefully get someone that can replace Favors as the back-up and maybe play alongside Rudy once Favors is traded later in the year

Among the names who hold Jazz interest are Dante Cunningham, who played last season with the New Orleans Pelicans. Atlanta Hawks forward Ersan Illyasova and Miami Heat big man Willie Reed are also players the Jazz are looking at.
One is a center. Dante is an undersized 4 though he can shoot now I guess. He's be a good back-up to Favors maybe even starting later on

To create salary cap space to bring in another player, league sources have told The Tribune that the Jazz are looking to trade Boris Diaw's contract, and they could waive the power forward if no suitor is found. Diaw's contract becomes guaranteed on Saturday, so a move is expected before then.
Maybe some good news if Diaw is gone. Believe it when I see it

The Tribune has learned that Sefolosha, an unrestricted free agent, was drawn to the Jazz because of their pass-heavy, international style of offense. Having thrived in a similar system in Atlanta, Sefolosha was sold on Utah's pitch.
Probably offered him the most money too

The worry here is if Thabo Sefolosha becomes another Shelvin Mack situation where the coaching staff values an known commodity over an unknown commodity. With what happened with Dante Exum last year, Jazz fans would be justified in wondering if a repeat could occur with Mitchell, Hood, or Exum.
Mitchell can go to the Stars. Hood and Exum are playing for their Jazz lives. Competition is good. Be nice if they could spread the floor so Rudy could do his thing though

    Busy day I guess

Jonas Jerebko, 2 years for $8.2 million
Ekpe Udoh, 2 years for $6.5 million
Thabo Sefolosha, 2 years $10.5 million

Fills out the bench a bit, guess we're aiming to keep the D strong no matter who is on the court. Surprised they didn't go for Luc Mbah a Moute instead of Jerebko.

Jonas is a guy that I had on their list before the madness began. He could be a good back-up for Rudy once Favors is gone. Might start next to him once Favors is gone though.

Udoh replaces Withey as a shot blocker at the end of the bench I guess

Yeah Moute woud have made sense pre-Rubio anyway. Now I guess it's all D. Offense be damned!

That was because his 3-point stroke slipped last season, from a fairly consistent 40 percent shooter in previous seasons to 34.6 percent in 2016-17.
stlll decent for a big especially at the 5

Jerebko figures to play some backup power forward and even backup center for the Jazz.
Looks like the 4th big at the moment with Bolomboy's struggles
