I always laughed when I see that; We have a home game at Hartford, against Hartford
What can you do, you know.

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
We pull out a nice win to start the season for the Women's program.
UConn: 82
GT: 71
High:
Maya Moore: 20 pts/14 rebs/6 asts/2 stls
We shot 50% from the Field.
KG (Kalana Greene) looked good. She attacked the basket. Glad to see her on the court.
Tina Charles: 15/8/ and got 3 blks. Plus she was in attack mode.
Lows:
21% from the 3 pt area (It is early)
77% from the Free Throw area
We only played 8 players
First game of the year, we showed a little rust but we will get better.

If UConn wins out and WVU loses 2 more games UConn will be in the Orange Bowl. UConn has a great chance to be playing in the Orange Bowl.

Just looked at standings again... forgot to add that the Bearcats need one more loss also. Durand Scott is supposed to announce Wednesday if he will play ball for Calhoun, or go to Miami.

We lost Scott to Maimi... oh well. Calhoun always finds those under the radar guys late.

How about the women's program? They shot 64% from the field in trashing San Diego St. Ms. Moore dropped 21. Tina Charles dropped 17. But the cool part, the bench got some love. They played big. Great job, ladies!!!

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
UCONN men play in a half hour against LaSalle...This is a pretty good and slept on Pre-Season tournament..If UConn continues to win they will probably have to go through Miami and Wisconsin....I'm predicting a great tournament for Jerome Dyson.

Half: UConn is not doing too bad... LaSalle just won't miss a shot. Thabeet absolutely sucks right now, and I'm very impressed with Adrien and Walker. Thabeet is just looking lost on offense... not catching passes, getting rebounds take from him. Hopefully he looks better in the second half.

Pretty cool to see La Salle gave you guys a test. Them and Drexel are the only other Philly schools I like.

Hech yeah, Maya Moore is the stuff!! I watching her play. She is smooth.
Man, LaSalle gave us a nice run for the money. They would not back down for nothing. Rodney Green was on fire!!! And that Veron Goodridge kid had a pretty good game against us. Thabeet seemed lost out there in the first half. I noticed that in the 2nd half, he seemed more into the game. Who knows. Just glad that we won.

Dang! I only got to listen to part of the Men's game yesterday and it seemed that Thabeet was pissed. The dude had 19 pts, 14 boards, and 7 blocks!!! He stepped up big time. I can't wait to hear/see the game against Wisconsin tonight.
The women had a great weekend as well. They crushed Rhode Island heading into our match-up against BYU (Tuesday) and then....Oklahoma on the 30th. The cool part about the women's program, we had six players scoring in the double-figures, plus Maya did not have to score all of the points. In fact, she got some much needed rest. Congrats, ladies. Now let's get ready for BYU on Tuesday. And fellas, let's get that win against Wisconsin!!!
Go, Huskies!!!

Looks like the football team will be playing in the International Bowl... oh well a bowl is a bowl. Its good considering it will only be UConn's third bowl, if we get lucky we'll be in St. Petersburg.
