Good luck, Nate. Alot of people are counting you out already, but I am pulling for you, kid. Hit the books and have fun on the court. Don't worry about the negative folks out there.
Go, Huskies!!!
Saw him play recently...VERY good player...very intelligent on the court with an advanced skillset. He is a legit 6'6 or 6'7 guard. My guess is he starts at the 3 this year.

Heck yeah. He can play the 1,2, or 3 spot, very well. The dude has nice handles and a nice shot. Since Stan is gone, Nate will give us 3, (maybe 4) scoring options; Price, Adrien, Miles, Thabeet.

Three months after knee surgery, A.J. Price seems to be right on track for the upcoming season.

And the drama continues to unfold around future incoming freshmen, Ellen Delle Donne. Right now, UConn fans, we just have to wait it out to see what happens with EDD. But, on to a much better subject, the women's program will be apart of the Maggie Dixon Classic. Congrats, ladies. Also, Kalana Greene is looking good and feeling better.
Last season, KG suffered a knee injury and had surgery. Things are looking good for her. She is running and putting pressure on the knee; not too much but just enough to give a little test. Either way, glad to see KG is doing well and keeping a positive mindset.
Go, Huskies!!!

Don't forget freshman don't have a huge impact in women's college b-ball, there are a few exceptions... Maya Moore and Candace Parker, but other then that they ride the pine. Also, Kemba Walker was the MVP for the U-18 team as Posterize mentioned in the other thread.

U forgot Sue Bird and Diana Taursi. Swin Cash had a nice impact on our program. But with the combo of Greene/Moore/EDD/Renee and the other freshmen that are coming in, UConn women's program would have been scary. We are still scary, but the addition of EDD would have made us UCLA Kareem scary good!!
Also, mad props on Kemba for getting the MVP in the U-18 USA. The brother dropped 21 against Argentina.
Quote from the coach: "From the first day of trials, it was evident that Kemba was a great leader," said U.S. coach Bob McKillop, from Davidson College. "The fact that he was acknowledged as the MVP of this tournament is indicative that not only we at USA Basketball think he's a great leader, but FIBA Americas thought he was a great leader as well."
Way to go, Kemba. Just bring that same mindset to UConn buddy. Be a LEADER!!!

Moments like this makes me proud to be a UConn grad. Recently, Kevin Ollie (former UConn guard and classmate) was awared the Role Model Award.
Kevin Ollie always displayed a great work ethic and inner drive. Congrats, Kevin.

Or just be the first to realize that most of the defenders guaring Thabeet is atleast a half a foot shorter. Just give him some oops for easy buckets. Kemba Walker could easily be a one of the best PG to ever go to UConn if he stays a few years. UConn also is #6 according to ESPN since 1985... that's pretty darn good.

I can't wait until the season starts. I agree. Kemba, if he has that same mindset that El-Amin had when he was at UConn, can go down in Husky history has the best PG ever at UConn.

In a what some would call a shocker, prized recruit, Elena Delle Donne, is not coming to UConn....at least right now.
I am glad that Coach Geno and the coaching staff at UConn, did a wonderful job of giving EDD her space and letting things works it way out.
I wish EDD nothing but the best for her career. Good luck, EDD.

Right off the bat, I am glad that Coach Calhoun is doing well and done with radiation and other cancer treatments. Welcome back, coach.
Now on to other matters. Right now, Stanley Robinson is working hard on trying to get things in order. For the past few weeks he has been playing pickup games with other players from the UConn program. Sticks, you can do it, money.
Peace out for now. Coach is back and healthy. That is the main thing.
UConn!!!!

Wow. Kansas and Syracuse lost interest in him or the other way around?
Either way, I am just glad that we are still on the list. U see where we are on Dominic Cheek's and Durand Scott's list?
