This Saturday we have a double deep. The men's team is playing against Rutgers and the ladies are playing against LSU. Good luck to both teams. The can get that win, hopefully. And the women's team can continue their winning ways.
Go, Huskies!!!!

You forgot UConn's bowl game.... but I probably won't watch it either. Girls play at the same time. But then again it could be DB's last game even though he said he wanted to come back.

I know I won't watch football, especially since the girls are playing at the same time. I might check out the score of the football game at half time of the basketball game.

Buffalo looked overmatched in this game. One TD was a reccovery in the endzone, the other TD "drive" started inside the UConn 5 yard line, and DB outgained the whole Buffalo team I believe. The score should have really been about 48-6, but I'll take a 38-20 bowl win anyday.

I agree. Buffalo did well, but they looked waaaaay overmatched.
Also, congrats to your Eagles. They beat down my Vikings. It was looking good for a minute there, then the Eagles took over. Great game and good luck the rest of the playoffs.

Maya Moore is on pace to hit 1,000 points the fastest and shatter my favorite Huskies (Svetlana Abrosimova) record. Svet did it in 63 games and Maya...well, Maya is about to hit 1,000 in less games than that. She has 937 in only 52 games. What 3 games of 20 pts or more and Maya has the record. This young lady is very talented and a hard worker. I am just glad that she is on my squad.
Good luck and go, Huskies!!!
BTW....Get out there and get Mel Thomas' book; The Heart of a Husky

Nice win, by the Men's squad, against Cincy.
AJ Price came out firing! He finished with 20 pts. I think that this was his best game this season. Adrien finishes with 13/12...nice double-double.
Great win, Huskies!!!
3-1 in Big East play.

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
Got some more info on Trice. He earned a grade of 82/99 from ESPN. He also considered Wake Forrest, WVU, VT, and USF, so it seems that he has a decent amount of talent. Terrence Boyd, SG #10 per ESPN, is considering UConn, Kentucky, OSU, Oklahoma, and Pitt. (top 5) Hope Calhoun can land him. Oriakhi/Coombs/Boyd/Trice would be a good start to the 2009 class.

Have you heard of how our class ranks with other schools for 2009? I saw highlights of Coombs and Trice, but the other two I am not in the loop on.

I think Nova shot up to #1. They've got the #14, #16, #25, and #62 players with 1 Juco player still considering them.

UNC has #3, #19, #25, #49 and #50 per ESPN. So both teams have 3 top 25 players, and #49 and #50 is better than #62 and a JUCO.

Derrick Favors will be in the house. 18th against SHU. Really good news for UConn... maybe he is considering them now? If you want to read about it, look under " Now UC it, Now you don't"
