Eric Walden: Jazz just presented a check for $56K to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation for all the 3-pointers made this season. Pretty cool.

And after a disappointing performance against the Lakers on Sunday, the Jazz looked very very good against the Nuggets.

Rudy Gobert has now earned a $250K statistical bonus for minutes divided by rebounds. The bonus was deemed unlikely before the season and the Utah center will see his cap hit for 2019-20 adjusted from $24.75M to $25M. Gobert also has a $500K bonus for earning All-NBA Defensive First-Team.

David Locke: Damian Lillard and Cj McCollum are OUT tonight v. Sacramento Kings for load managment. If Kings beat the Blazers the Jazz will play Portland in Portland for Game 1 and Houston will play OKC in Houston in Game 1 if Denver beats Minnesota

Dane Moore: Karl-Anthony Towns is DOUBTFUL to play tonight in Denver, per the team. Yesterday, to the media, Ryan Saunders suggested it would be a long-shot that Towns plays.

Looks like they found their new Hood. The kid either shoots it or turns it over.
Bradley showed it's time for Favors to go. Bradley at least deserves a shot to win the job against Udoh or another vet. Udoh had a great game too. Long almost had a double double too. He's deserved more of a shot as well. He's been better than Allen at the Gleague level. Might be enough to earn him a spot on a roster next year. Niang seems to have moved up in Snyder's eyes anyway
He's hopeful that he made a good enough impression over the past couple weeks to maybe be considered for playing time when the games really start to matter: Sunday when the Jazz and Rockets open up their series.
Unless there are injuries he better not play but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see him playing instead of Neto or even Thabo

I'm not being overly negative about the Jazz, but they can't blame all these other teams for the matchup. It was in their power to win 1 or 2 or 5 more, & it didn't happen. Nobody wins them all, but hopefully they bring a little more urgency & win a few more close ones next year.

Hopefully they decide it's time to go all in before Rudy leaves. My guess is Rubio and Favors will be back again though. Why change when you can make the playoffs!

What can be learned?: Gobert’s absence is interesting to think about in the context of the playoffs, as he struggles to make a big defensive impact against perimeter-oriented offenses like Houston’s (such was the case in last year’s series between the two teams). The Jazz are definitely better overall with him on the floor, however.
Yeah Rudy couldn't guard Harden and Capela at the same time like he does with everyone else. Time to bench him!
What can be learned?: For as much as the Jazz will need to be great defensively in this series because it’s their calling card and because Houston’s offense is so dangerous, they’ll need to play very well offensively, too. That hasn’t always happened this season, as Utah doesn’t have anyone beyond Mitchell who can create his own shot consistently.
despite all the talk about Rudy no matching up against them the D was good enugh to beat them last year. The offense sucked and that was without Ricky. Imagine how bad it will be with him out there
