Competitive defenses don't hold a team to a 35TS% in a Finals game. When your second leading scorer avg. 10pts for the series, it shows that Utah's offense (outside of Malone) was atrocious. Their 4 other starters that game 3 scored a combined 15pts.

The Truth: It was a very low skilled era.
Only like one guy on each team could shoot a 3.
Only like one guy on each team could dunk.
Only like one guy on each team could play defense.
Only like one guy on each team could bag groceries quickly.

Each team had a "specialist" who could do 1 thing good. Now in modern era every player has to be good at multiple things not just

Horror for Lebron, very difficult to add at least 2 superstars to your team

Least it didn’t in 1991.
Ya in the 3pt shootout.
I was talking about:
Hornaceck won the 3pt contest shooting 13/30. Curry shot 13/17 in an actual NBA game.
What a pathetic era. I'm embarrassed that I cheered for those scrubs back then.
I'm disgusted with myself that I owned a '92 MJ poster, a basketball with Orlando Shaq's handprint and an autograph from Patrick Ewing when he was at Georgetown. I threw it all out when I saw LeMassive play for the first time.

Basketball in the past is just ugly. 10 players all clogged up inside the 3 point line trying to figure out how to put the ball in the basketball. Bricking mid range jump shots all game. Just ugly to watch. Players feel slow and unskilled
Inside-out play, post battles, and more prolific mid range scoring. Way more entertaining. Ok so where does that leave us now? Your own preferences doesn't equate to better. The game was different, and different skills were needed to be successful at it. That doesn't mean one era is necessarily better or worse. I can't wait for another 20 years where the next generation of fan will be saying today's era is shit because of reasons X Y and Z that makes 'their' era better.

Obviously...you were talking about both.
And of course nobody would make that many threes then. Does it really need to be explained? James Harden has missed more threes in a game than Jordan ever took in a game like 5 times this year.
Tell Jeff Hornacek he can take 25 threes I suspect a few go in.
He only took as many as eight 4 times in his career and in one of them he went 14-18 for 40 points making all 8 threes and missing no FTs.
But even if you were making them....it would be considered a dick move to shoot as many as people do today. Klay has taken 24 threes in a game. Harden took 23 a few games ago. Jeff Hornacek only took 25 total shots twice in his life.
Chris Mullin in todays league might be fighting Steph for the single game record.

Seems to just be the nature of the finals, I can beat majority of years the Bulls points per game decrease from regular season to finals
Also, at the BOLDED. Fcking STACKED.

The 90s were awesome.
The Bulls were trapping until the end of this game.
Jordan + Pippen + Harper were a nightmare to get through.

25 of those are First Team All-Defense. All three usually got the max. or close to the max. votes for it.
