Default Ben Simmons (16.6 ppg) averages more points than Jayson Tatum (16.2 ppg)

Apparently Tatum has the better offensive arsenal.
Tatum is the better player?I call him "One hit wonder" looked promising in the playoffs and people stuck with it. Now they are hoping he will duplicate the same performance, he had last year, in this upcoming playoffs.

Also Ben averages more rebounds, more assists, more steals and blocks. Plus, he shoots a better than Tatum except the obvious ones (FT%, 3FG%).

I'll take the guy who isn't completely unplayable in the half-court, thanks.

Why because he can't shoot the 3? You do know he assists on more 3s than anyone else in the NBA right.

You play him at 4, he is absolutely playable. You just have no idea what you are talking about. Spurs are winning without shooting threes, what exactly is your point?

Jokic is better than Shaq because he can shoot threes and makes better passes at the centre position?

Who cares? He ain't coming close to doing so when it matters. Ben Simmons averaged 6.4 assists to 4.8 turnovers while also scoring exactly 1 point in the Celtics series.

Shaquille O'Neal is your counterpoint to Ben Simmons?

You sound like a moron... it was 1 playoff series, his first ever. He will get better, Tatum will get better, inhale, exhale.

Anyone who denies Simmons talent or says he's unplayable, well that's why you aren't paid to coach. When you have talent you find a way to make it work, period.

If one series defined a entire career I'd agree with you but you can't hold the first playoffs in a rookies career against him.

I can, knowing that Ben Simmons has done exactly nothing to elevate his level of play. He doesn't even try or want to get better. Next level cowardice. Everyone ITT has made the exact same number of 3's in the NBA as Ben Simmons, lmao.

Jason Kidd, one of the best PG's of all time-did this exact same play and it resulted in a W. It's actually not uncommon. No way Butler was passing that, it's just that he isn't the shooter or athlete that Vince Carter is.

Brown obviously said get the ball to Jimmy.

Simmons had an open lane to the hoop. Did what the coach said.

He goes in, misses or gets fouled and misses the fts and the team (and Jimmy) would be super pissed at him.

Sometimes you gotta back yourself but it was a tough situation for him to be in.

    Heartbreaking tho.

First difference I spot is that Kidd wasn't dumb enough to just stand completely still right next to the play to have VC get doubled.

oh so you mean they wouldn't have doubled Butler if he moved somewhere else.

Newsflash - even if Simmons relocates with the time left it's a deep jumper regardless aka nobody is guarding him so the double will be happening regardless. Butler needed to just raise up and fire or Simmons should of went completely to the rim to try and tie the game.

It was funny people were complaining that Reddick as given the ball in a similar situation a few weeks ago and missed. He has the trigger to get he shot off though. It happens.
