Maybe this is just an attempt by Silver to get Dirk to retire. Wades retiring at the end of the season, he and Dirk get named as "special roster exemptions" to the ASG. They'll both leave the court in Charlotte to a standing ovation. Will Dirk come back for another season after that?

I could see why Wade would get it because at least he's been decent this season but Dirk has been horrible.
