Lakers have an east coast trip against top 4 5 teams... seems like he would take the rest and rehab to be prepared for that trip. That trip determines If they become a 6th seed or if they play below 500 and fifth for 8th facing Houston or golden state

I think it's that Lebron knows that chances are that if he played the Lakers were going to lose anyway. This way he gets rest, the Lakers get another loss without him, which in turn the media and his fanboys can use to prop him up.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but in this social media, fanboy era, such agendas become a reality. Whereas if this was before the constant fanboy back and forth, it would be all about trying to get a win against the tough competition, with no consideration of the record with and without Lebron.
