No free agent star has ever come to Dalllas.

Putting that on Luka or the moves by the Mavs of late ignores the last 20 years.

For a variety of reasons, Dallas has always struggled to get free agents.

Which is why Cuban finally has to figure out a way to land someone that matters...or perhaps multiple players that matter...over the next couple free agencies.

And, the free agents in 2020 are pretty bad, so there is a lot of pressure on them this year.

Hopefully they can finally do it.

I'm not in any way criticizing the Mavs (even because they managed to bring together two potential superstars), but I believe that Luka's rep around the league will not be good, it's just an opinion

for sure, and that's why no free agent star level is going to Dallas to play with Luka

Next level up are guys like Jokic, Giannis, guys I could definitely see in Mavs.

Not to talk about Klay Thompson or similar shooters who would have career years with Doncic.

But yeah, the "woke" part of the NBA brotherhood are too racist.

I honestly don't know what to expect though...I'm glad we got rid of Barnes, but given our history in free agency...I'm very skeptical of Cuban's ability to land players.

Oh yea, it could be.

He's clearly the golden boy who can do no wrong already, my point was just that the Mavs lose out in free agency every year and have been doing it for a long time before Luka ever got here.
