The NBA needs less teams - 24 total

The NBA needs contraction. Seriously we have too many perpetual bottom feeders.

Get rid of 4 teams from each conference and watch the NBA become the best it's ever been.

Hell, even 28 total teams will be better.

Honestly the 3 point shot has actually allowed bottom feeders to exist and have a chance at competing because any team COULD just catch fire somewhat from 3.

But damn, removing teams would REALLY get rid of a lot of pretend NBA players.

yeah, the nba product is deteriorating fast...

it went downhill as they tried to force lebron into a winner which he clearly is not. the natural history would have developed w him losing every single finals.. a way more entertaining story imo

Exactly. NBA/ESPN still looking for the MJ "cash cow". Kobe wasn't it, and neither is Lebron. Only the very, very casual fan thinks either of those were as good as Jordan/Wilt/KAJ.


You could argue Lebron is 0-9 - Every "chip" has some sort of asterisk.
2012 = Bad calls against KD, lockout season (only 66 games)
2013 = Ray Allen bailout
2016 = Green suspension, Bogut out/hurt, Kyrie bailout.


Lebron doesn't have a "clean" full 82 game season ring. Think about it.

That's why I say that if nearly all teams made the playoffs in 04' and 05', lebron's 9 seed would've made it and got smashed by the champion pistons in the 1st round.. it would've got really ugly because lebron's 2 seeds got swept and record blowout, so one can only imagine the carnage his low seeds would endure

Okay, but I agree with OP.. too many teams.. it would bring more fans in to see more good matchups every night, via 2-6 less teams
