There was a time when Kobe was the one in the goat convo with mj. He was in his prime winning chips and putting up crazy numbers in front of our eyes and mj was obviously retired and being forgotten some. Eventually his body broke down and he started missing playoffs regularly and the media and most fans eased up on that narrative.

The same thing will happen to lebron. It's easy to forget about past greats when a current great player is relevant and in there prime doing crazy shit every night. LeBron will decline and stop winning and putting up crazy stats and Another player(probably Greek) will come along and do what LeBron used to. Some sport media members are already starting to chill with the LeBron goat talk just from this year alone.

There's no way 20 or 30 years from now people are gonna put a player who only has 3 chips with some really bad losses up there with mj or even Kobe, magic, Russell and Kareem.
