SpaceTard2 - You think a MAFIA hit over gambling would result in there being ANY evidence left over? The Mafia doesn't kill people then MAKE cell phone calls to their buddies from the dead person's car phone and shoot videos of people wearing all-star rings from the superstar.

A "mafia hit" would have been them following him, walking up and putting two in the head and shooting through the glass. The reality is this is a very sad case and a rich person being in the wrong place at the wrong time. "Gambling" has 0 to do with it. People who you owe "7 figures too" want their money.

The plan, Demery testified, was for him and Green to commit a robbery near I-95 and U.S. 74 in the middle of the night near a Quality Inn where the teens hoped to run across unsuspecting tourists.
While preparing for their crime, Demery said, the two teens noticed Jordan

Quarter mil per finals game in 1993 finals.
To keep himself motivated when tired in 4th quarters.

Also gambling large sums with LCN dudes playing golf.
They're rumored to have gotten his pops murdered ...
... when he wouldn't pay them.

Mike was the most competiutive ballsy pro basketball player ever.
Name a n!cca you know who would tell 90's mobsters to go pound sand when he owed them millions in golf gambling debts.

    Is this thing on?
Name a mobster who would kill someone, make a bunch of calls to other teenage crime-spree kids on the deceased person's cell phone, and leave a body in plain view near a river.
Better yet, name a mobster who would STOP with just the one death. They'd continue to kill until they got their money back.

But, a black man in southeastern USA (in 1993) in a shiny red Lexus at a road side rest probably flashing some jewelry on his wrist would never be a target? So now the mobsters FOLLOWED Mr. Jordan until he just happen to pull over at a roadside rest? One shot to the chest? The killers made a video of them wearing Jordan's jewelry and BOTH are still in the PEN for life.

It's sad because I heard Skip Bayless the other day say jordan was banned from the league, basically spreading false information

That's what the media does now.. spread false info

Broussard said the other day that 07' lebron beat the "Bad Boys 2"'...

And Lebron carries soup cans to the Finals, except he only did that in 07' when AI, Dwight, and Kidd did the same thing that decade... .and he LEFT Cleveland because he couldn't win in 09/10

Yeah, I entered lebron into the thread to prove that the media spreads false info all the time.. You have to verify everything you hear yourself

It's a dumb theory if you really use any common sense.

First of all Commisoner Stern isn't like the "school principal" who gets to expel people. Most NBA fans don't even know his f**king job ... his job is to work on behalf of the OWNERS of the NBA franchises to maximize their franchise values.

Suspending/banning Jordan is the dumbest thing they could have done. They tanked their TV ratings. All Jordan would have to say is go to Nike and say Stern is forcing him out and there would be hell to pay from the NBA's top sponsors -- Nike, Gatorade/Pepsi-Cola, McDonalds, NBC would all come down on Stern's ass and he would be the one getting fired very fast.

Ain't no one buying Air Stern sneakers or wearing Stern jerseys, any number of people can do that job, there's only one Michael Jordan and that was the NBA's golden ticket.

The controversy wasn't even that big of a deal, in a decade of the OJ Simpson trial for murder, Michael Jackson sex allegations, Princess Diana-Prince Charles divorce, Hugh Grant getting busted solliciting prostitutes, Jordan having some golf gambling debts was laughably tame. It was his own money, he wasn't hurting anyone.

Finally, no "mafia hit" would send two naive 16/17 year old kids to perform a hit on the most famous person's father on the planet at that time. Those kid's would snitch and rat out the truth faster than you could say donughts in a police interrogation. Heck even to this day I believe both (now) men are trying still to rat out the other one to get a lesser sentence.

Beyond that, what did Stern magically also manipulate the baseball strike right in spring 1995 so Jordan could magically come back right then? Why was he even allowed back just 16 months later? What exactly was the NBA's plan if the baseball strike didn't happen and Jordan just kept on playing baseball?

Barkley's gambled at least as much as Jordan ever did, probably more. Many NBA players have gambling issues, since when does the NBA ban all of them? When Kobe Bryant was on trial for alleged rape of a white girl, I'd bet good $$$$ the NBA and all his sponsors would've gladly traded the bad optics of that situation for a silly golf gambling bet issue instead. The NBA has dealt with far worse.

It's all an incredibly stupid theory.
