If he "carried" soup cans, why did he only need 22/6/5 to win the 2014 ecf, and weak stats in the 07 run?

Btw, here's more proof of the media lying - they say lebron's regular season PER is 28.3 and higher than mj's 27.9, but Lebron's is 27.6, not 28.3:

Of course, MJ hater Isiah says lebron never had a good coach, even though he rejects coaching from everyone, and had the COY in 09', the most renowned international coach ever in 15', and played for Riley's organization/Spolestra

And btw, Wade/Bosh were all-stars in 14/15/16, so not soup cans, and younger/better than 98' Pippen, who never made another all-star team and was done

If LeBron had "weak" stats in 2007 then you must have missed game 5 in Detroit where he scored 25 consecutive points. Im convinced you haven't watched a game since 2003 when MJ was a Wizard

Can you really say with a straight face Bron didn't go off in 2007 at 22 years old carrying soup cans? You said "weak stats in the 07 run?"

vs Wizards, Bron: 28-9-8 on 55% TS with ORtg 126 (24.6 GmScore)
vs Nets, Bron: 25-7-9 on 54% TS (20.0 GmScore)
vs Pistons, Bron: 26-9-9 on 54% TS (22.9 GmScore)

Jordan in 96 winning FMVP
vs Sonics, MJ: 27-5-4 on 54% TS (18.5 GmScore)

Why do you keep ethering yourself? With LeBron, every single series in 2007 was better than Jordan's 96 Finals run. Are you a masochist?

imagine MJ posting almost the same stats with Lebron but doing it against the 2nd top defensive team that year

while Bron is battling teams within .500 record

It's also just profoundly stupid business, it makes no business sense.

The NBA had just lost Magic Johnson in 1991.

In 1992 they lost Bird to retirement.

So in 1993 they willing go out of their way to lose the biggest star they've ever had, the most popular person arguably on the face of the planet, at a time where TV ratings are booming, sponsorship levels are through the roof.

When Jordan retired the NFL, NHL, etc. were all celebrating big time because the NBA which was rising massively in popularity finally had lost it's golden ticket. And finally it was like "OK NBA, lets see how well you do now without Jordan".

If you buy that ... let me save you some trouble here. Don't ever go into business. Because you're a moron who probably can't even run a lemonade stand. You have no understanding of business.

The NBA would never do that willingly.

First of all Commisoner Stern isn't like the "school principal" who gets to expel people. Most NBA fans don't even know his f**king job ... his job is to work on behalf of the OWNERS of the NBA franchises to maximize their franchise values.

Suspending/banning Jordan is the dumbest thing they could have done. They tanked their TV ratings. All Jordan would have to say is go to Nike and say Stern is forcing him out and there would be hell to pay from the NBA's top sponsors -- Nike, Gatorade/Pepsi-Cola, McDonalds, NBC would all come down on Stern's ass and he would be the one getting fired very fast.

Ain't no one buying Air Stern sneakers or wearing Stern jerseys, any number of people can do that job, there's only one Michael Jordan and that was the NBA's golden ticket.

The controversy wasn't even that big of a deal, in a decade of the OJ Simpson trial for murder, Michael Jackson sex allegations, Princess Diana-Prince Charles divorce, Hugh Grant getting busted solliciting prostitutes, Jordan having some golf gambling debts was laughably tame. It was his own money, he wasn't hurting anyone.

Finally, no "mafia hit" would send two naive 16/17 year old kids to perform a hit on the most famous person's father on the planet at that time. Those kid's would snitch and rat out the truth faster than you could say donughts in a police interrogation. Heck even to this day I believe both (now) men are trying still to rat out the other one to get a lesser sentence.

Beyond that, what did Stern magically also manipulate the baseball strike right in spring 1995 so Jordan could magically come back right then? Why was he even allowed back just 16 months later? What exactly was the NBA's plan if the baseball strike didn't happen and Jordan just kept on playing baseball?

Barkley's gambled at least as much as Jordan ever did, probably more. Many NBA players have gambling issues, since when does the NBA ban all of them? When Kobe Bryant was on trial for alleged rape of a white girl, I'd bet good $$$$ the NBA and all his sponsors would've gladly traded the bad optics of that situation for a silly golf gambling bet issue instead. The NBA has dealt with far worse.

It's all an incredibly stupid theory.

The funniest and most pathetic thing about the whole ordeal is MJ coming back with 17 games left in the season to try to win a ring the absolute easiest way possible.

It'd be so funny watching his stans making up reasons as to why it's a legit championship.

Coming back rusty and with a very different team with new players and new dynamics is the easiest way to win a championship? Have you ever played any level of competitive basketball?

No

Whats more laughable is making the decision to collude with 2 other allstars then made a media event in order to boast to win not 1 not 2 not 3 and all that crap then proceeded to fall face flat against a team with only 1 legit allstar, then getting outplayed by the likes of Jason Terry and JJ Barea

Completely refreshed mentally and physically. He's still got Pippen and Phil running the same offense.

Players who score 55pts on the road against the first ranked defense in the league is not rusty. There was no mention whatsoever of MJ being rusty after that 55pt game. Then.......... once the Bulls got bounced out in nthe 2nd round, that's when you starteds hearing "he's rusty" excuses being made by the media and fans.

No way MJ would have came back if he thought he'd get embarrassed by not being physically and mentally ready for the rigors.

Why not just wait ill the following if he was so rusty??

Wow, athletes boast at pep rally's??? Who would have thunk??

Avg. 18-7-7, led the team twice in scoring and also had a trip-dub is falling flat on your face?

Maybe if Wade played better defense on Jason Terry, they might have won.
This whole "Dad killer" is among the dumbest theories I've read on this site.

Mike's Dad pulled over at a roadside rest and was shot by two hoods.

In fact, they're still in prison.
