linear challenging games are ok. like a megaman/contra type... but the ones where all you do is tap B or X 90% of the time and go back 2 seconds when you die.. thats a movie not a game lol

Last year I went back and beat Ocarina of Time with only 3 hearts. It's surprisingly difficult towards the end.

just beating the game is easy.. getting all the hearts/skultulas and beating all the games/challenges is the hard part

Beating it with three hearts was a hell of a lot harder than just completing the game. Everything after the Water Temple is basically a one-hit kill.

If you think those older Zelda games are hard then you clearly weren't actually playing the difficult games of those generations.

Every now and then I do that with OoT and Majora's Mask. Makes for a good challenge and overall experience reliving the story. Sticks are too OP though, a piece of wood does as much dmg as the master sword smh.

The Japanese overall are responsible for 95% of the world's best games. No surprise tbh

I have actually. I quit, though. Not because it was hard, but because it sucked ass. I hated the change in style. I recently replayed A link to the Past and it wasn't difficult at all. It was fairly easy, really. Not anymore more difficult than any newer action rpg games. There's also the fact that there are hard games if you actually want to play hard games. I'm playing Hollow Knight right now and that game is much harder than many of those older games.
