Otherwise,you open up a whole can of worms. Very few players are still 100% when the finals come around. Being sore or a little banged up doesn't mean you're injured. Otherwise, every poor finals by a player can be pinned on being banged up.
Jalen Rose admitted to purposely walking up underneath Kobe on a jumper and intentionally trying to injure him. That's a little different than being "banged up".

Attempting to injure someone doesnt mean that the individual in question is injured. If the latter is on the court, it means he's banged up. Kobe shot extremely poorly before said incident occurred. And poorly after it occurred. So I'm not about to pin it on that.

Except Kobe shot 46.4%FG for the Playoffs prior to injury with 6/13 in his only healthy Finals game lol. Yeah, he wasn't injured when he basically missed 2 games and played the rest of the series on a bad ankle.
