Players whose Legacies Drastically Dropped after 2018-19 NBA Season
LeBron James - Went from 8 straight finals appearances in the weak East to failing to make the playoffs in the Wild West. Tried and failed to gut entire team for AD. Coach gets fired. GM quits. All in the same trainwreck season.
Russell Westbrook - Booted in the first round Western conference playoffs again. Has done nothing after Durant left. Still averaging triple doubles and threatening to beat people's wives up though.
James Harden - Disappeared in the West playoffs again after a rule abusing "dominant" scoring season. Had a chance to end the Warriors reign but succumbed under playoff pressure.
Chris Paul - Flopped and whined his way to the playoffs only to lose yet again to a Durant-less depth-gutted Warriors team. Battled all season long with refs about being able to develop a relationship with them instead of playing the game the right way.
Kyrie Irving - Failed to get past the 2nd round with the same Celtics roster that went to the Eastern conference finals the prior year. Also showed everyone how much of an emotional trainwreck he is.
Anyone else?

Very accurate.
I'll add
John Wall - not his fault, but unfortunate injuries are piling up for him, which will cause his legacy to drop. Five years from now we may see a video on YouTube titled "Where are they now / What happened to John Wall?"

Lebron legacy actually improves if the Warriors win 4/5.

Lebron's legacy went up. We are only now realizing how incompetent Magic, Pelinka, Jeanie and the rest of management were. Also, the news of how Magic was actually the one behind the AD debacle.
He went up a few spots in the deity hierarchy.

Kyrie probably took the biggest hit. He staked his legacy on being ‘the man’ on a team and failed spectacularly. It’s back to second option for him should he join bron or kd.
There isn’t really any hit on CP3’s legacy that hasn’t already been done. If you wanna say he was a flopper and playoff elimination fodder this year, fine. But that’s basically his whole career.

Forgot about Wall. The difference with him is he's been constantly injured. Even when he wasn't, the Wizards have always underachieved in the playoffs.

Wall's legacy wasn't that great to start with. His talk has always exceeded his play.

John Wall never had a legacy to speak off brother.... Dude has been an overrated chump for all of his career.

Possibly the first decent post you've ever made.

DeMarshall Cousins. Dude's a bonafide loser, finally in the playoffs and gets hurt.
