All had to rewatch several times.
For the most part after it clicks everything ties up pretty good. I just wished the movie was longer, there was little character build up and so many jump cuts.

I'm torn.
There are no debriefs, no proper introductions and he glides through the story that he set up for himself, being told just the right things at the right time to trigger his him into action - The Protagonist.
I think that if we had longer scenes even of Neil and him together building more relationship, it might invalidate the idea of him being able to set up the story for himself to begin with... Just how much can be kept secret for himself and just how much can Neil handle before he wants to scream "dude I know you at 50!".

That's how Nolan films are, he kinda just throws in characters and makes the audience build their own backstory.
Interstellar went from Murph begging for her dad to stay to the space shuttle launching. I personally dig that he doesn't overexplain every detail like most diluted films do
I thought Denzel's son did pretty damn good for his first big role

I meant that I'm torn on whether or not I agreed with there being a need for more backstory. I love the movie as is.
