The media never did their job by factually reporting about the many scandals during his time in office. That may soon be coming to an end as the truth behind the Russia hoax comes to light with the IG report coming out shortly followed by the Durham investigation into the origins of the Russia hoax that duped so mnay gullible leftist.

youe overrating the power of a president.

most are pure puppets and the system was gonna churn as it was irregardless of their presence. obama just went with what the back scenes have decided the status quo was.

thats why trump is so important, he actually bucks off what the true top dogs try to coerce him to do...also why hes painted as insane lol.

Neither Trump or Obama are close to the worst presidents. People love using the word “ever” but hate history....

Look into James Buchanan or Warren Harding if you want dangerous ineptitude or corruption and scandal. Andrew Jackson was beating senators and getting in shootouts. He established Marshall law in New Orleans and ruled it like a king till he was forced to stop. He had a local politician arrested for speaking out against his refusal to step down and when a federal judge ordered an end to it he had the judge arrested too.....

But again...nobody cares about “ever” they just like using the word.

    Anyway....

Obama wasn’t hated like Trump for the same reason no other recent politicians have been and whoever comes after Trump won’t be.

None of them behave like Donald Trump.

If Obama or either Bush came out and said:

“As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!).“

We would all think they lost their minds.

The guy behaves in a fashion you couldn’t have a president behave in anything but a slapstick comedy.

You couldn’t make a serious movie with a president who behaves like that. Real Donald Trump statements and tweets spoken aloud absolutely seem like parody designed to make a political opponent look bad. Every day he comes out and acts like a caricature. Like a living caricature who got up off a mocking newspaper drawing from the 1920s and started making the kinda statements a joke president would make in a bad comedy film.

Even the president known to be corrupt didn’t do so much to make themselves look bad and easily mocked. Go listen to Richard Nixon speak about a serious subject. That guy was ****ing brilliant and clearly informed. He was a liar....as are we all....and did illegal things. But you put Nixon in a debate with Trump it would look like a professor arguing with a child.

Trump is hated because he still acts like the reality tv and tabloid scandal star he’s been for decades and when you’re the president it opens you up to too much mocking. None of you would have believed we would have a president like this ever.

Trump isn’t treated how he is for his political party, race, or anything that would apply to others. He brings it on himself. The next white republican won’t be as hated....because he won’t cultivate it at every turn.

It’s just a weird time in history.

Trump would likely humiliate nixon just how he did jeb (who is much more book smart than trump)... hes got quick wits and is a showman. Too easy for him to make fun of these stiff nerds and get the crowd laughing.

Obama played the optics well. He was respectable and presidential. That was enough for the masses. Plus he had the media in his corner.

Trump is the the people's anti culture change champion. He was the only one shouting back to the increasingly influential leftist and socialists. He was the only one shouting fck you China and Muslim fundamentalists. He was the only one shouting fck you to illegal immigration. He was the only one shouting fck you to the biased media. He isn't very presidential nor respectable as a person but...he's saying things that plenty of us are thinking.

The other day, I heard Beto O Rourke said that any church that isn't willing to marry a gay couple will lose their tax exempt status. He just openly says that as if it's the most normal thing in the world. This...is...why...Trump...wins.

It’s not as if he actually got the most votes. It’s just an odd situation where millions more people can vote for someone else and you can still win with slim majorities in key states and winning in places where nobody lives.

3 electoral votes and 2 senators come from Wyoming who has less people than the county im in....which is only the 3rd biggest in South Carolina.

Weird form of representation for issues that are national.

Just kinda comes down to where a few people live not how many Americans want this or that.

If the Taxas demographics go the way California’s went I don’t know where republicans find the electoral votes to win nationally. Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin all went blue for the first time since 1964. Eventually republicans will need the places where people actually live to win won’t they? It’s not overnight....but in 20ish years?

If Democrats get a firm hold on the electoral college it won’t mean republicans don’t exist or their message doesn’t appeal to millions. Just means it’s hard to win with the system in place.

Trump didn’t get that many people behind him. Obama got nearly 70 million votes.

And even that isn’t that many Americans by percentage.

Trump isn’t particularly popular. Most politicians aren’t. He’s a little less than usual I’d say.

He can win without really having that much of America on his side.

The thing is, that's not some cringey sh!t. It's a real part of the cultural war that we are having.

You won't see it day to day. Regular people have bigger sh!t to worry than that. Even during a literal war everything can seem normal. But the culture war is real. Just take Canada's gender identity bill. And what Beto said. People having feeling towards that kind of stuff is what got Trump elected.

    THIS

If you want to know why Trump gets more hate than Obama, all you have to do is read through Obama's Twitter account, and then read through Trump's Twitter account.

It's literally going from reading a mature adult to reading what is a spiteful immature teen.

Trump throws hate and points fingers daily...memes included. It's what makes him a God awful President. Instead of trying to win over the left, and bring us together as a country, he throws out hatred and demeans others. His negativity spreads throughout the county. His brings out the worst in all of us.

Trump's effect on this country goes beyond what the Dow Jones is doing. We are divided under him. Even families have split under him. Maybe Obama wasn't perfect, but at least the right and left got alone with each other under him. Fck even under Bush Jr we all got along. I for one can't wait to get back to that.

In this age of expanded media and media attention, politicians really have no place to hide: every word and every action is scrutinized, analyzed and judged. Obama fell victim to it, but the difference is that he didn't have nearly the amount of drama during his runs and his presidency as Trump has had, and it wasn't that people weren't looking or weren't critical. The Reverend Wright controversy, the "guns and Bibles" controversy, the "birther" conspiracy, the Benghazi scandal and others provided plenty of fodder. Some even went as far as making silly things an issue: golfing, vacations, the color of his suits, whether he wore a suit jacket in the oval, the selfie stick, and the dijon mustard order.

The problem with Trump is that he is a living series of "Onion" articles on a sitting US President. His various comments about minorities, about women, about Charelottesville, the Russian scandal, the Ukrainian scandal, the Khashoggi scandal, the Access Hollywood tape, etc... are an archive of justification for detractors.

And make no mistake, this isn't simply a partisan thing. He was/is a pariah among a number of people in his own party. There's a long list of scathing commentary on him from the right:
