WWE has released a lot of wrestlers today:

    Mustafa Ali

    Emma

    Rick Boogs

    Aliyah

    Elias / Ezekiel

    Riddick Moss

    Top Dolla

    Shelton Benjamin

    Dolph Ziggler

    Dabba Kato

    Bryson Mantana

    Shanky

    Mace and Mansoor

    Quincy Miller

    Quincy Elliot

    Dana Brooke

    Yulisa Leon

Ali will be a hot commodity in the indie scene right away.

Dolph/Nick Nemeth has already worked as a comedian with his brother Ryan Nemeth, who is working in AEW. So, there is a good chance Nick will show up there.

Rick Boogs is too entertaining not to be called up by other promotions. Same as Elias (Brother Elrod soon? ) and Mace and Mansoor, who were great as Maximum Male Models.

Emma/Tenielle Dashwood has already done very well in indie after her first WWE release so she should continue doing what she left off.

It's quite a different WWE now that it's Triple H and Endeavor who controls the ship rather than Vince. Punk, not long after AEW incidents that led to him being fired, automatically generates interest and that alone is worth hiring him.

WWE gets a huge clout. Punk gets the money and gets to continue wrestling. Fans gets to enjoy further. Win-win-win.

People are wondering if Punk's ego will be his downfall. I think Trips will take care of punk this time around though.

They don't have any more power than the company itself now that WWE is now truly a corp. They won't let Trips or Punk running things and they can cut Punk easily if he doesn't go along.

Punk also is likely friends with the new bosses and Trips is going to play nice. Punk is basically coming in to win the Rumble and make Roman look strong at WM. The bigger deal is getting AJ Lee back to run a couple programs with the Horsewomen.

AJ has been the head booker of WOW women's wrestling show, the one that Jeanie Buss owns, right now. But who knows if she will return to WWE or not.
