Look, I know that. I just think it's dumb for the all-star games and all-nba teams to have strict positions...if you want the best players then get the damn best players.

Beal has played no defense this year. Literally none. He's increased his usage from ~30% to 35%, which is a huge burden on offense, but the tradeoff was that he has played no defense at all.

Trae got voted a starter by the fans. If he hadn't been, he might not have made the team. He's the worst defender in the leage.

Also, b2b 50 point games isn't nothing, but how exactly does that suggest this isn't a weak era? Couldn't the argument be that other teams aren't as good? Couldn't the argument be that scoring is up? Wow.

And elite Beal is not. He's not leading a team anywhere. Within the right team, then as your second best player then sure he can. In a vacuum, it's not automatic.

If Beal is elite that proves this IS a weak era.
