i mean, with or without Ewing? he got knocked out halfway though the playoffs.
They'd get smoked without him. (and yes i know about the "effect")

Nets will win easily, and theres no need to remind Knicks fans how we swept their ass out of playoffs in 2004.

Yeah, the Nets are the forgotten team of 2004. 2004 will forever be the year of the Pistons, perhaps the most beloved single season team of all time.
What no one remembers, though, is that the '04 Pistons nearly failed to get out of the 2nd round. The Nets were up 3-2 after winning game five 127-120 in 3 overtimes in Detroit. Pistons fans, including myself, thought it was over. Even Larry Brown seemed to think the series was lost, not even wearing a tie for game 6 in NJ.
Alas, the Nets let it slip through their hands, and the rest is history. Very good team, though.

Regardless of whom you think is better, can't overlook that both still came short in the finals.

Those 49 win Nets team wont be beating any finals team "easily". These are two evenly matched teams that would probably go the distance if they matchup.
