The Rockets took them to 7 and were up double digits in game 6 & 7 WITH Durant.
In fact, the only reason they lost, was because they were without chris paul. That was the version of the dubs you guys said were unbeatable.
I do think Cleveland would have won in 2015 with a healthy Irving, and the dubs wouldve won handily in 5 in 2016 with dray and bogut not getting knocked out.
The Dubs 3 wins in 2016 were all blowouts. Before they lost their frontcourt... they were decimating Cleveland. Kyrie & Bron being GOAT finishers.. not surprising.

Yeah but gsw still choked and blew their very own 3-1 lead in the finals.
On the other hand, kd's arrival to the warriors just made a laughingstock of the cavs in their last two finals appearances, especially the one from two years ago which resulted to another inevitable sweep for cleveland.

everybody commented on how the suspension swung the series... people forget how it happened too.
Golden State was blowing Cleveland out in the 4th quarter IN Cleveland.. to go up 3-1. and Lebron pulled a desperation stunt where he stepped over dray tyronne lue style. Dray tried to push him off with one hand and whiffed. The league upgraded the call after the game to knock him out. It wasnt even in real time.
But besides that, the Durant + Curry team was said to be invincable. They crushed a fully loaded cavs team in 2017.
Yet, a hamstrung Houston the very next year almost knocked them out.
2017 Spurs before the Zaza incident blew them the **** out.
It's obvious they were like rock to the Cav's scissors.

Yeah, i almost forgot that golden state also benefitted from injury-riddled teams otw to the finals. That's why it felt so good their tricks were used against them last year when they lost to the finals against the "underdog" raptors.

i agree with you Akeem34TheDream, Stephen never outplayed anyone in the Finals or made any team "his" victim in particular. Damian Lillard blazers is the only team that comes to mind he had a decent series against

In the past 5 years. A healthy Golden State team has never lost.

And the Warriors benefited from a major injury during every title run. Kyrie/CP3 don't get injured that could easily be 2 less rings

Definitely Lebron and the Cavs.
I'm sure Lebron hates that team with a burning passion since they effectively ruined his Finals record by showing up out of nowhere.

Lebron's Cavs.
Beat them 3 times in the finals and ruined Lebron's legacy, making his finals record even worse.

In a fantasy that all NBA players are healthy, GSW might not win a single ring.(Kyrie+KLove in 2015, Kawhi in 2017, Cp3 in 2018). There has never been a franchise luckier than them with injuries.

2017 is a stretch. I know they were getting their ass kicked Game 1, but I definitely wouldn't put that one on the same level as the injuries in '15 & '18, which really did change the outcome of those series. It was a crucial injury that ended all realistic hopes of the Spurs winning, or even being competitive, but even with a healthy Kawhi I'd still pick the Warriors to win that series.
I still agree with your main point though, I've never seen a team have their run be so defined by injuries, which ironically were their ultimate undoing last year

You think that was the case in 2016?
