    Donald is the best defender of his era, giving him money isn't a problem.

    The problem was giving a middleing QB elite money.

    Also the Rams have the issue of having two WRs arguably better than Cooks

    I think they came to the realization he's just "good" not "great "

    No doubt. Out of all the massive contracts rams have given out a lot of huge contracts, Donald has been their best value by far... especially when he is compared to other huge salary defensive linemen like Demarcus Lawrence and Frank Clark who basically make the same money while providing FAR less impact/production.

    Anyway that said, personally I think I'd probably rather pay elite money for a middling QB than pay elite money for virtually any RB.
