What have the Chinese invented in the last 50 years?
I was looking at some sources for Chinese inventions in the modern era, after seeing that a research facility in Hong Kong feels confident they will have a synthetic human eye implant that will be better than our natural one, within 5 years.
Their list of inventions seem pretty weak, especially considering they are among the most intelligent people on earth. I see a few things like a passenger drone, the lightest carbon fiber on earth, a synthetic bovine insulin back in the 50s, and a few other things but not very many. The Japanese by contrast appear to have invented a lot more things in the last 50 years. Although Europeans, North Americans and even South Americans have invented way more stuff than Eaa
Intelligence doesn't always translate into ingenuity does it?

chinese just copy and steal. they are smart, but not creative. Just have a very rigid social structure that demands education and discipline.
japanese are the asian innovators look at their success in cars, technology, and video games.

Re: What have the Chinese invented in the last 50 years?
You should remember that it wasn't until 30 years ago that China went from its socialist economy to a market economy. Prior to that, their effort was primarily focused on pulling themselves out of poverty and not on innovations.
Now that they've achieved that, research in technological innovations is still heavily funded by the communist party and directed towards its goals.
They might have not invented much recently, but they probably have the highest rate of technological adoption in the world. You'd be surprised at how high-tech their society is.

Using technology means theft? You clearly don't know what the term means.
Technology adoption is a term that refers to the acceptance, integration, and use of new technology in society.

they do steal IP tho. left and right they have fabs copying phones and other tech that was created by others. it's not an attempt to create someting similar, it's an attempt to steal and sell knockoffs...huge difference between tech adaptation and straight up theft
