Exactly and both cases were narrative driven. especially Allen's.

Iverson is barely a plus level player in the long run. At least Nash was a beast for a little bit.

Is this how you see me? A Steph fan first and foremost? He's not even in my top five favorite players.

Maybe you are confused because I'm an actual objective poster about all NBA players.

Tyson Chandler deserved it for the intensity he brought to an ailing Knicks team that lacked a defensive identity.

Marc Gasol held down the paint for the grind house Grizzlies, perhaps the best defensive team in the league.

The media campaigned for Lebron to win the DPOY heavy in 2012 and 2013 but it died down by the end of the season.
But the NBA's head coaches disagreed with you.

They supported LeBron as the best defender in the league in 2012 and relegated Tyson Chandler to 2nd Team.

And in 2013 the head coaches heavily favored LeBron over Gasol.

I don't know - I think I lean towards the judgement of head coaches versus the media. That's just me though.

This. Look at the voting process for these things. Who gives a flying **** what the media parasites think? It's a shame fans still pay attention to them.

I think its an important award, just like the other awards it gives proper recognition to the player. For example, Ben Wallace was a monster in the early 2000s and he deserved to be recognized with those awards.

If you really did then you'd know MJ > Lebron but you don't so let's be real you don't care about anyone's opinion.

Tyson Chandler and Marc Gasol deserved it because bigs anchor defenses, Lebron was a free safety but bigs have to guard their man straight up then rotate to block/deter shots at the rim. Their burden will always be higher than any perimeter player by design.

Unless you're MJ, Sidney Moncrief, or GP that is. A shame Lebron couldn't make the cut.
