Kyrie is oppressed and scared that his execution might be televised, don't blame him.

Pretty simple to see young players not in playoffs wanna just end the season and work out and be even better for the next season.
Veteran nba players like melo kyrie have enough money and no title aspirations this year so theyd rather hold.
Teams like philly bos Lakers clippers bucks rockets want to play because they busted their asses to compete for a title.
Ultimately there's too much forward movement for the season not to resume. They might need to just have the top 16 or 17 teams play regular season and then playoffs start.

"He's not going to play anyway due to injury".

Quit talking out of your ass. The Nets are the 7th seed and they're in position to be in the playoffs.
The only forward movement that matters to a largely African American sport is that of systematic racism. That's more important than basketball and I'm glad Kyrie Irving and others are starting to see the bigger picture.

A possible scenario is that his ideas will spread like cancer and before you know it the games will be played with incomplete rosters rendering the competition meaningless.

Why are you here then if we have bigger issues to focus on?
In any case, I only see everything re-opening. I don't see anything else shutting down. It's not necessary. And besides the players can make their biggest statements during broadcasts.

He's not seeing any picture. He's not going to play anyway and he's not vested right now. When the next season begins and there's still systemic racism in the US, his sorry ass will be all too eager to play.
If he puts his money where his mouth is and retires until systemic racism is eliminated then people can respect him. Most everyone else can see through his bullshite.

No he's not that influential, guys may think he's cool to hang out with but in the end no one is sacrificing millions just because Kyrie's woke. The real issue being raised by Tatum, Mitchell and other young stars is that they are wanting (extra?) insurance because they're on the verge of signing major extensions and don't tant to lose that payday without coverage. Which is valid and makes clear sense with an avenue to resolution (call up Lloyds of London).

Kyrie is so influential, he was able to convince Kevin Durant to leave the Golden State Warriors dynasty to team up with him in Brooklyn. Sounds like you're salty he left Boston on his own terms.
