Looks like most of the world is slowly opening up and controlling the virus with temporary lockdowns, face masks, social distancing etc.

America on the other hand hasn't even peaked in the first wave yet and tried to reopen.. but failed.

How will it feel when the rest of the world reopens except for the U.S.? Will Trump be the one to blame, or will it be the American millenials that believe covid19 and facemasks are a conspiracy?

Our goal was to not overwhelm the hospitals.

We were successful in our goal due to the virus having a hospitalization rate of ~1% rather than the 20% that was predicted.

We handled it worse because we shutdown a $9 trillion dollar economy for a virus that has an IFR on par with the flu for half the country.

We are doing worse partly because 42% of US adults are obese (our #1 health crisis in America).
