Default Got an OLED TV. It’s worth it.

I was at Best Buy last week and tried to impulse buy a Sony OLED but they didn’t have any in stock and would take over a week to get there. So that killed it for me and I went home and then did a little bit more research. From what I could see the LG and Sony OLED’s were very similar. I know someone who has had an LG OLED for awhile and he has loved it even though he burned his in a little bit. So I went back the next day and ordered the LG. I don’t usually get the extended warranty but from I have heard, the OLEDs can get messed up pretty easily regarding burn in. Best Buy was the only company who’s warranty covers burn in too. So I got the warranty for it so even if it gets burned in I’m good for along time. The picture is on another level. When I first got it a few days ago it was good but not amazing. I finally got around to messing with some of the settings and now it’s incredible. I had a pretty nice Samsung before but this completely blows it out of the water.

Once you go projector you can't go back I can make the screen 150" if I wanted to, but I don't have the space for that I'm not a smug d-bag about this, happy for your purchase

I've watched so little TV than I thought I would with no sports. Although in 4 weeks, I'll be watching 12 hours a day assuming the games will start at noon

I have too much light in my main room, if it wasn't for the lack of brightness in light situations I would go projector.

I cancelled YoutubeTV after they recently raised their subscription fee yet again. I only used it for live sports and news, and I just can't justify $65 with one of those not even happening right now.

Not sure what I'm gonna do when sports come back. I guess I'll have to go back to stupid cable bundling.

    OLED..nice

only problem is , TV and Movies are now filled with faags and crap shows, and sports are filled with black pusies.

that leaves you with gaming and porn.

    hmm... not bad

I've been meaning to get one. The LG C9 would be a steal right about now

This is my only real problem with it as well. Made my early shutdown days where nothing was open (late March) a little difficult so I put sheets over my windows. Made it nice and dark and I couldn't even tell if it was dark outside or not. But of course it got warm and I had to crack open a window Lighting is prob why most people put their projectors in the basement. I don't have that option as I live in an apartment. Will have to look for blackout curtains but I still need my window open, I don't turn the AC on often.

I heard about YTTV jacking their prices. Scumbag move by them, especially during this pandemic. I was hoping everyone cancelled it. A lot of times you can find free streams, or apps for a smartbox to watch news for free. Yeah sports is a problem. I gave up the lifestyle of searching out streams to watch sports, I just got some cheap iptv and it worked when sports was on. I would never suggest uncutting the cord. But I do find it funny when people cut the cord and end up paying more because of all the different packages

Sports still a few weeks away.
