Well, in fact, it was true. They know how damaging support for defunding the police right now is that they vehemently tried to dismiss Trump's accusation. They know damn well that if the Democratic nominee for President comes out on record for defunding the police, it's over. OVER.

Trump is an animal. There may not be any debates, but by God, that only helps Biden cause Trump would maul this guy.

So yes, Democrats are standing firm behind their Defund the Police stance and behind their support for radical Marxists such as BLM, and the American people will not stand for it. The American people may not love Donald Trump, but they sure love this country and they do not want to see what's happening in Seattle, Portland, and New York happen in their neighborhoods.

    Trump wins in a landslide.
I guarantee you Biden isn’t in favor of defunding the police. Biden is basically a republican. He is far too authoritarian for favoring defunding police. It’s hilarious you hate him so much when you’d probably like him if he had the same policies but had an R next to his name.

It doesn't matter what he's in favor of.

It matters what his public stance is, and I guarantee if you asked Biden today it would be some "re-imagine policing" bullshit line that's been parroted by all the DNC cronies for the past couple of months.

He knows that but Republicans don't care about spreading outright lies. Hilarious how Patty and the rest of the GOPhers wanna push the narrative that Biden is an ultra left guy Too late on defining him, he was the vice president for 8 years, people already know he's a corporate Democrat and hostile to legit progressives. That doesn't stop Republicans from lying through their teeth though...I would suggest the Democrats try doing the same, put out an ad claiming Trump likes wishing all pedos good luck.

The Trump campaign has spent at least $20 million in July on advertising promoting the false and repeatedly debunked claim that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden favors defunding the police.

Biden has said he doesn’t support that. “While I do not believe federal dollars should go to police departments violating people’s rights or turning to violence as the first resort, I do not support defunding police,” the former vice president said in a June 10 op-ed.

A campaign spokesman also told us Biden supports more funding for police for initiatives to strengthen community relationships and for body-worn cameras.

The Trump campaign’s latest TV ad debuted on July 20, just one day after a nationally televised interview in which President Donald Trump made the claim — and was instantly corrected by interviewer Chris Wallace, host of “Fox News Sunday.”

The new commercial, which has aired most heavily in the swing states Florida and Pennsylvania, explicitly says that Biden supports defunding the police. Previous ads on the subject say that his supporters do and suggest that law enforcement spending would plummet during a Biden presidency, leaving Americans at the mercy of criminals. The campaign has spent $461,000 on the new ad in the first two days, according to Advertising Analytics.

The issue came to the fore when Trump said falsely in his interview with Wallace, which was recorded July 17 and aired two days later, that “Biden wants to defund the police,” citing recommendations put together by allies of Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders, his defeated rival for the Democratic presidential nomination. Wallace — correctly — immediately challenged the president’s claim.

Trump: And Biden wants to defund the police.

Wallace: No he, sir, he does not.

Trump: Look. He signed a charter with Bernie Sanders; I will get that one just like I was right on the mortality rate. Did you read the charter that he agreed to with …

Wallace: It says nothing about defunding the police.

Trump asked for and received a copy of the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force Recommendations. But there is no reference in it to defunding the police, as Wallace pointed out.

So what? You shouldn’t believe a word Biden says. He won’t commit to any remotely progressive policies, dude is a right winger. Talk is cheap, as they say.

Say what you want about polls, but we don't have much else to go on here...approval ratings, vegas odds, maybe a couple other things.

Outside of those things all you can go on is your personal bias...

All indicators show Biden crushing Trump, and currently it is much more in his favor than Hillary ever had.

Also no President in history has ever won reelection with a sub 50% Approval Rating....Trump's rating is low, 40%

IMO the biggest difference between Biden and Hillary is that Biden has won over old voters...he's almost doubled Hillary in support from seniors. The right took the angle of "who cares about old people, they die anyway!"...they SHOULD have taken the angle of "covid is real and the protests are killing our precious elderly!!!". Covid and the right's take on it being nothing to worry about has really crippled Trump. Conservatives are an older crowd than libs, they want covid to be taken seriously.

Okay, then I’m really not sure what your point was. Dude panders to SJWs, but he and both sides of the establishment (yes he is part of the establishment naturally, but this is ISH so I have to say it) are firmly in agreement on screwing over the working class. People like Chewing holding him up as a leftist is hilarious.

I'm tired of obsessing over politics, but I cannot pretend this shitshow is not interesting. November couldn't come soon enough though.

I don't much care who wins as I don't like either candidate, and my life will not change much either way but I can't help but wonder how Trump will look with egg on his face. He has the nerve to send out anti democratic propoganda to my home because my pops just recently became a citizen

i'm sorry, but you'd have to be an absolute fool if you truly think that the establishment dems are going to defund the police if they win in november. that the likes of biden, schumer and pelosi would do such a thing is absolute insanity. the only ones calling for this are the radical left. you saw what they did to bernie a few months ago, right? like they're going to turn around and listen to progressives. LMAO. give me a break.

There isn’t a single radical left politician in Washington, but I agree with your post otherwise.

You guys don't think there is an over-policing problem? America has more people in prison than in despot regimes. Am I supposed to believe Americans are an uber-violent culture, or is this the result of ever-growing statist agenda?

Biden said he supported moving some of the funding to other programs. That's the definition of defunding the police--NOT eliminating all funding for them, but transferring the funding to other areas that police are currently called on to do, but really aren't appropriate for. And guess what? Many police support this idea.

Meanwhile, you of course don't mention that in the first ten minutes or so of that interview, Trump told three lies about the U.S. response to the pandemic. And if Wallace, who is only liberal when one takes as the center the far right, knew more of the science, he would have exposed far more ignorance in those lies than he actually did.

Meanwhile, new Quin poll has Biden up 51-38 in FL, a state Trump has to win. I wonder why Trump is doing so badly in FL?

So it's not defunding, it's the reallocating of funds, huh? So it's the Socialist approach to policing.

November can't come fast enough, but then again I'm sure when trump wins they'll start with impeach 2.0 or some other bulshit to keep this circus going.

If the IG report is the bombshell report we're all hoping it is, and indictments are handed out and arrests are made, there will be no second attempt at impeachment. Libs will be quiet little school children while the Teflon Don makes America great again the second time around.
