Lebron doesn't play defense consistently. Thats the difference. DRose can lock down any pointguard when he wishes to, but he doesn't do that and goes through the motions for 90 percent of the game. Nobody considers him a great defender because of that. It was same with later career Kobe.

Nobody ever doubted Lebron can play great defense at times. But unless you play good defense at all times, youre not a great defender. Simple
