there is the one distress call from a victim above the impact, it's very disturbing. he goes into deep description with the operator, how intensely hot the floor was and how his shoe soles were melting. most people above the fire didn't ever know the extent of the situation. they heard an explosion below, some initial smoke outside and within an hour of panic were flattened

here is one of the most disturbing, you hear Kevin Cosgrove go back and forth with the operator and cut off as the tower collapses under him while on call. his final scream

Yeah, we all know it was a horrible tragedy but don't need to hear that and get bummed out for the rest of my afternoon, thanks.

many of these photographs weren't published by mainstream US media until a decade later. people heard of the one jumper guy and his photo but never the vast reality of the 200+ hundreds that did. so much death yet very limited photo evidence of actual true gore and corpse debri below, even after the cleanup almost no limbs were shown. something like only a handful were identified at ground zero afterwards, search and rescue dogs became depressed after weeks of futile human remains in the rubble being found. just splatter and dust between a mountain of twisted steel

A lot of those pictures are showing people hanging onto the ledge because that's the only way they can breath. They might not all over necessarily jumped off. Strong winds could have pushed them off.. explosions, or they ran out of room.

Either way I cant imagine what they must have felt so I cant say whether I would have jumped or not.

I think that is a big part of why so many couldn't care less about covid...they need to visually SEE old helpless people choke to death on their own blood for it to actually hit them

You mean when they're dying of 10 other illnesses at 80+? Yeah hard hitting shit right there

It's about what you'd expect. He sounds pretty calm though for being under heavy smoke. I wonder how long he would've lasted if the building didn't go down.
