I keep seeing references to players boycotting, but what they are actually threatening is going on strike.

Yeah it would have been a strike, not a boycott. A boycott is the people screaming about never watching games again and echoing the "shut up and dribble" line.

The NBA isn't the right forum for a boycott like this. If a sport can change policies in this country, football is the sport that needs to strike. College Football actually could have the biggest impact. You want white conservatives to rethink things, have SEC players boycott. That will make some people rethink some things.
