What just happened?
Players saw the error of their ways?
Owners made huge concessions?
This was always supposed to be just a 1-2 day thing?
Can't figure this one

Not that I think you think that’s true but....playoff pay is nothing to these guys. The extra pay per game breaks down to like 12 thousand dollars. Even the poorest full season nba player wouldn’t notice 12-20k extra to finish a series. They get their real money in the regular season.

The players are not owned by anyone. The teams are owned, and players willingly (eagerly) signed very lucrative contracts to play on those teams because their Plan B is nowhere near as fruitful and their Plan A. They are free to quit playing (as some have), displease the team owners, and then do whatever they want to do at any time.
But you knew that already.

Re: What just happened?
The players are emotional clowns that immediatley go to the extremes and then realize the errors of their ways a couple days later. They then start backtracking like the hoes they truly are, emotional nikkas doing emotional nikkas stuff

If they walked out and ended the season, it would be a lockout year next season. That's when the players would be losing big money.

cos they realised, all those who got shot all have criminal background, like underage sexual predator etc, cant stan for that, so rather come back and play ball.

Not only is this not true, but even if was, it is scary take. "The guy was a criminal so he deserves to be murdered!" That would be like saying Steve Bannon deserves to be killed because of his charity scam with the wall or Trump deserved it because of his fake university scam that he had to settle 25 million for.

Re: What just happened?
It was an impulsive decision from the bucks who received support from the rest of the league. bucks are from wisconsin so it makes sense why they felt obligated.
and then cooler heads prevailed supposedly with mj's help.
most of the players want to finish the season.

Re: What just happened?
They had a collective emotional outburst caused by 1 or 2 players on the Bucks' idiocy. It snowballed from there because while everyone else was already aware of this most recent situation, they were happy to keep playing prior to the Bucks stomping their feet.
Herd mentality kicked in and they all started throwing a tantrum.
The Bucks then realized that they ****ed up while others were still fuming. Everyone went to sleep, woke back up, realized they were acting like clowns and that what they were doing wasn't going to really do anything except draw attention to themselves, and they started to think through everything, and now they're playing again.
Barkley & Shaq had it right. They supported their decision to stop playing, as they should, because nobody should be able to force someone into doing a job they don't want... but then... what's the plan? And what about the next time this happens? I think they realized they didn't have a plan... they would try to move the needle in a few spots that aren't really going to address the systemic change that they want and here we are.
Further, to stray from the topic... this type of interaction between black people and police is going to continue to happen and it's not because of racism. It's because black people disproportionately commit a **** ton of crime compared to their population size. Now, it very well may be that slavery is at the root of why this behavior disproportionately impacts the black community, and if it's at all possible we need to do everything we can as a country to fix that, but I assure you, their behavior in the short to medium term is going to continue regardless of what measures we put in place, and the interactions with police are going to continue exactly as they are right now. A huge problem with this entire thing is a significant portion of the U.S. population is being lied to about how it's open season on black people, and they're eating the bait up on the daily.
A bigger issue than black people being shot by police is media reform. I don't even begin to know about how to fix that, but it is beyond clear to anyone paying attention that the freedom of the press part of the constition, which is tied in with the first amendment, has run amok and news agencies are blatantly out of control with pushing emotionally inflammatory narratives rather than accurate reporting.

Re: What just happened?
continuing the nba season will honestly give players a bigger platform for any cause they want to support so that makes sense too.
