KD and Kyrie are finally about to get knocked down a peg, and permanently. They’re worse and will be worse than Kawhi and PG. Much dumber and worse on defense too.

They're a much better scoring duo than PG and Kawhi, shit's not close. KD's peaked much higher than Kawhi in the Playoffs and Irving's a better scorer than George. I had high expectations for Kawhi and PG defensively but they got TORCHED on that end of the court in the Playoffs. They couldn't defend Luka nor Murray in these series. Heck, Seth Curry bust PG's ass in the first round too. Nets have a lot of pieces on their hands, I think there's a good chance they'll be top 3 offensively if healthy w/ potentially a top 10 defense, KD will have had more than one season's worth of time to recover from his injury and Irving will basically have had a year off as well. They're better pure shooters than Kawhi and PG and have more passing/playmaking ability as well.

The only knock people should have on both KD and Irving is their health.

you're right but kawhi closed to playmaking gap with kd this year. kyrie has more of the advantage in playmaking but he is a pg tbf. Still I say kawhi/pg is as good if not slightly better because of defense and the nets supporting cast is even a worse fit than the clips was. they have volume scorers like dinwiddie and levert who are pretty ball dominant. Finally, kd's health isnt just a knock it's a huge factor. I think he'll be pretty good but he might just not be a superstar anymore. I think a top 10 defense is too optimistic when you're playing post achilles kd and kyrie
