Man, he teamed up with with 3 or top 4 PER guys in the league in 2011(Lebron - 1, Wade -2, and Bosh -4), and they were all still in their primes. Lebron and Bosh were 26, and Wade was 28 the same age as Durant when he joined

What was that Miami Heat team's record before Lebron joined? 47-35. Were they one game away from winning back to back championships before Lebron joined?
Lebron joined a mediocre team and made then instant contenders. KD joined the best team to have an easy ride.

If you include points a player is responsible for by including assists Lebron is responsible for far more offense than AD. The reason AD has more points is because Lebron is feeding AD easy looks under the basket with his superior creation abilities.
Those stats all favor the higher usage player, which Lebron was by a mile and he barely edged out Davis in those departments. Davis still had a higher WS/48. Even with Lebron hogging the ball over a fellow superstar, Davis still put up MVP-like numbers and was the more dominant player in multiple series.

David Lee had a higher PER than Kobe did that year. Would you take Lee over Kobe before the start of the 2010 season? Yeah, didn't think so.
So you'd rather have 2 guys who finished top 4 in PER, than this:
2016 Curry - the reigning 2x league MVP, All-NBA and led the league in 3PA made.
2016 Klay - All NBA and 2nd in the league in 3PA made.
2016 Draymond - All-NBA on both sides of the floor and runner-up for DPOY.

What was the Lakers record the year before Davis joined them? What the point of asking that question? Heat in 2010 not the same team as 2011.. that's the point of Riley adding two superstar players. This isn't college ball where players are locked-in for until the go pro or graduate. Free agents happen and rosters completely turnover from year to year all the time.

BPM is the more flawed stat than PER, but Wade was also top five in BPM every year as well. You are talking about a former finals MVP before Lebron ever stepped foot in Miami. Hell, he was AS MVP the year before Lebron jumped ship from Cleveland. Bosh was a top 20 guy in BPM, which for a big man is super ELITE since BPM doesn't look at big man defensive contributions and only like man ball (wing defense). The only two other true bigs in top 20 were Duncan, Gasol, and Garnett. Bosh was actually better than Kevin Garnett according to BPM the year he joined up with Lebron.

Getting swept/gentleman's swept in the first round multiple times is an auto-disqualification for GOAT

Who gives a shit what Wade did 5yrs earlier? Who TF uses AS MVP as a huge accomplishment??
LOL @ taking PER ranks over these 3 prime players:
the reigning 2x league MVP, All-NBA and led the league in 3PA made.
All NBA and 2nd in the league in 3PA made.
All-NBA on both sides of the floor and runner-up for DPOY.

Five years earlier...wtf are you talking about? Wade was top 5 in BPM in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and top 10 in 2013. He was on a average at top five player in the league every year that Lebron played with him except their last season together, and that was due to injury. The only other years he wasn't top five besides 2014 was 2007 when he missed half the season with injury. In 2006 he was #2 behind Dirk. Lebron joined superstar player still in his prime. End of story and no way you can spin it any differently. Matter of fact Wade was the better player their first season together. One prime Wade is infinitely better player than Klay Thompson or Green's non-shootin' self ever thought about being, and that not even counting a prime Chris Bosh who was also a top-10 player. The year Cleveland beat GSW in the finals Thompson was barely a top-50 impact guy according to the metric you like so much. Green was a top 10 guy, but it was all defense, and he was just slightly better than the average starter on offense.
That GSW team is so overrated. The went down 1-3 in the playoffs and choked a 3-1 lead. Great teams do not do that. If you actually look at the regular season record it's based off having an almost perfect record in OT (winning six of seven games) and being perfect in all their close games down the stretch (Curry's last second heroics, etc.). They were the average elite team coming out of the West, i.e. 65+ win team. Great, but hardly unheard of.

Re: Getting swept/gentleman's swept in a championship is auto-disqualification for GO
LeBron's teammates have been all-NBA 5x in 17 seasons; Jordan's 6x in 15 seasons. We went over this in another thread comparing Irving, Love, Green, and Klay from 2015-2018. Love was last in all-star appearances and last (0) in all-NBA. Irving was second to last in all-NBA (1). This doesn't even count Curry, who was the Warrior's #2 in 17' and 18'. This was comparing the Cavs' 2nd/3rd options to the Warrior's 3rd/4th.
When he was in Miami the Spurs and OKC existed. In Cleveland 2.0 the Warriors emerged, the Spurs kept going (67 wins as late as 17'), and OKC was a contender with two MVP caliber players until KD left. Even this year it was the Clippers who were considered the best team all year until the WCSF.
Which team was comparable to the Bulls in the 1991-1998 period? A Knicks team with 1 HOF'er?

We aren't insecure.
We are merely correcting the record for historical purposes.
