If they are serious about an exchange of ideas the mute button is necessary. If they had it last time they would have done Trump a favor by shutting him up. Trump needs Biden to make a mistake. By not letting him make an uninterrupted point he kept Biden from saying anything he might regret while giving Biden the excuse of "that asshole won't let him talk."

If true the following would bug me if I was a Trump supporter: Trump supposedly did two hours of debate prep. Biden meanwhile had been prepping all week. Even let Obama be the start of thr campaign while he got ready. Trump can't afford to get outworked.

I watched this video about a week before the 2016 election... that's when I knew Trump was going to win.
