I hope your state takes care of you better than mine. I worked for Parks and Wildlife right out of school for a year. It took me a while to realize that I wasn't going to make much. On the plus side I was pulled over for speeding 3 times by state troopers and was let go every time because I left a spare uniform hanging in the back of my truck.

Funnest work I've ever had in my life though. Getting paid to ride a quad and motor a boat. All by myself too. Just me and the wilderness

I've worked here for just about 3 years, and it's probably the best job I've ever had in my field. IT is a lot of contracting positions and gig jobs, so the job security here and benefits are a major plus. I'd love a job out in the wilderness, though.
