Default Tim Duncan quits as Spurs assistant coach

The Spurs' Tim Duncan is stepping away from full-time coaching after spending last season on the bench on Gregg Popovich's staff, @NYTSports has learned
San Antonio's internal belief was always a one-year stint on the bench for Duncan, who is expected to return to his previous post-retirement role in which he made frequent appearances at the team's practice facility to provide various Spurs with player development assistance
Tim Duncan has publically said in the past how he hates today's era of small players and lack of posting up. Now he realizes coaching isn't for him either because his game is outdated and worthless in todays era. No wonder Tim Duncan had a glorified role player BPM in the 2010s era of his playoff career. This guy just doesn't get it.

Marc Stein was the first to report that Tim is stepping away from coaching full time to go back to building cars and enjoying his retirement. He would go on to add that the Spurs knew that this was likely going to be a patch fix, not a long term deal.

I swear Timmy has been such a good guy through his career I think he’s gonna be the nba legend to get into some crazy situations after retirement . Kinda gives me mid life crisis vibes sometimes with his hair and clothes sometimes but he’s still a legend

Yeah ok dude. He won a chip in this era as a 37 year old. Just imagine what prime Duncan would do to this fakkit ass small ball b.s.

And small ball dosn't work. 2015 warriors are the only team to win with "small ball" and even that was lucky. The year after big ball beat them and they went out and got the best 7 footer in the game. Bigs still rule dude. Just look the last however many fmvps. They're almost all over 6'6. Wade is an exception but he was athletic as hell.

Talking about Duncan would get run off the floor in todays game yet he was third team all nba/ 2nd team all defense in 2015, at 39 years old. But we're to believe 25 year old Duncan couldn't hang in todays league. I dont know whose alt that is, but hes a fukking idiot.
