love Magic's honest persona, he doesn't hold back the truth. we can confirm this simply by viewing footage. it's ridiculous the superstar calls MJ received. NBA needed a poster boy.

Jordan and his teams continuously got the most beneficial calls in history from the refs.
Anyone seriously think that this is a foul if Jordan is on the Bulls roster that season:

Wait... so because Magic said that MJ used to get superstar calls now the whole NBA was rigged to help MJ!

The desperation of Bran stans is amusing. What goes for LeBron, doesn't go for anyone else. It's age old. Superstars get calls or are let off the hook more favorably than others. MJ got them; Malone got them; heck even Reggie Miller got them; Kobe got them; Shaq got them; LeBron gets them; and Harden gets the most, arguably.
And in the second quarter, he hooked Bam Adebayo’s arm under the rim to disrupt the rebound. The official was staring right at them and ignored the foul.
Moments later, LeBron clearly knocked the ball out of bounds (again right in front of the official) was still rewarded with the possession.
So, by halftime, LeBron James should technically have been in foul trouble and acquired at least one more turnover.

LeBron James, the self-proclaimed “king” of well, something, is the player who, night after night, gets more favorable treatment from referees than any of the other great players. But make no mistake, it was a close race.
Shaquille O’Neal was in the running but late in his career, that changed for some reason. Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant? Well, they got help, but not like LeBron. Wilt Chamberlain never fouled out of an NBA game, but I’m not convinced he got the benefit of as many favors as James.
That mystery foul called on Portland’s Anthony Tolliver Saturday night, when LeBron went flying down the left side of the lane for an uncontested breakaway layup that he missed and Tolliver was whistled for a foul is a classic example.

Traveling. Steps. Walking. Does the violation even exist in the basketball rule book any longer? And if it does, why has the NBA, or its officials, opted to utterly neglect enforcing it? Early in Game 2—and you can watch the replay here, courtesy of the folks at ESPN (0:30)— LeBron James caught a pass just outside the left elbow, took one dribble and then, after he picked up the ball, took one, two, three steps before laying the ball into the peach basket, which in any basketball, in any era, is traveling.

Uhh yah those Detroit Pistons battles say otherwise.
They openly admit the intent was to injure Jordan if he came into the paint but Magic Johnson cracks a shit talking joke between friends about fouling so therefore Jordan had a cakewalk to championships.

Magic Johnson was a big beneficiary himself. His free throw attempts increased remarkably during his career.
