Actually standing reach is what matters not wingspan. This is basketball not boxing.

Some people gain a couple inches with high set shoulders

In today's game, half of his drives won't have help defenders due to spacing, so scoring ability isn't necessary.. the reigning mvp literally looks like a beginner taking jumpers

I don't know you still have to be talented to score in this era. Either that or you have to be a beast physically, which greek is. You have to remember greek is basically a 7 foot center if you put him in the 90's or before and there were great scorers then that couldn't shoot. Shit shaq and kareem couldn't hit jumpers and they're 2 of the greatest scorers ever.

Lamelo ain't a beast physically like those guys and yeah it is easier to score for perimeter players but not so much that it's gonna allow melo to be a great scorer.

SL was pretty good. He just had too many health issues early on develop a rythym in becoming a star level player. He was also very weak. He couldn't even bench 135lbs in the combine.

LaMelo is stronger, taller and can shoot better than SL too.

It will be hilarious seeing all of the excuses people come up with when LaMelo averages like 7/5/5 this season.

Not sure what you're basing that comment on. LaMelo isn't a good shooter. Livingston was great from mid range.

I'm basing that on having watched him play. He had no jumpshot coming in to the league. It took him years to develop a good midrange game, and he never developed a 3 point shot. LaMelo's jumper will fall into place. You can already tell it won't take him long to become an efficient jump shooter.

worst part is he's a chucker with wet confidence, which means he's a shitty decision maker for a PG

yep. i don't like the pick at all, think there's too much downside vs potential.

Those who are optimistic about the guy are clowns tbh. However, i think he's going to be better than kyle kuzma someday.
