Jones was by far. He was a better athlete, an all-star, and a great defensive player. Not to mention, he led teams to the playoffs on multiple occasions. It's a bit premature for Kuzma because he's so young, but he lacks the fundamentals that Jones had when he was coming up.

Thus far easily Eddie! Looking back, I wish the Lakers could have kept Eddie instead of Glen Rice. I get that Rice was one of the GOAT shooter/scorer types. BUT Mamba/Eddie were DESTINED to be the top two way wing tandem since Jordan and Pippen at that point in time. Eddie got traded right before Kobe really hit his prime.

Putting that alongside Shaq was the way to go. Just slide Eddie long term to the SF. PLUS u could always play Kobe and Eddie TOGETHER in a big backcourt as well. Eddie was like a better scoring version of Michael Cooper. Coop was a bit better defender. But BOTH could play and defend PG, SG, and SF. Eddie Jones with 3 rings, minimum of 5 All Star Games, maybe a couple more All NBAs, and being one of the best two way wings in the league at one point gets him ON THE SNEAK tip a potential HOF look. Not saying he would have been 1st ballot. But his career would be looked at TOTALLY DIFFERENT if the Lakers don't trade him

If he stays on the Lakers, he gets more All Star Games under his belt. Because the winning would have put him in a better position. They still would have won the three rings. He was already a two time All Star with the Lakers. BEFORE they started winning rings. And was an All Star and All NBA with the Hornets were NEVER sniffed a ring.
