Injuries to Bam and Dragic & also no HCA.. 2000 Lakers went 6 because of Kobe's injury.

Jimmy Butler is not a TOP 10 player. What makes him a top 10 player again? The same type of player as Peak Iguodala.

    Serious question-

Does anyone know why they chose to pay Meyers Leonard instead of Crowder?

    I just don't understand it.

The fact that he carried his team through a bunch of superstars and challenged a juggernaught in the finals? In terms of mentality hes the best player in the league. Stats isn't everything, intangibles are incredibly underrated when it comes to evaluating a player. And Butler is a much better scorer than Igoudala. If he played for stats he would have looked much better on the statsheet, but he plays the right way in order to win.

    So?

Either way the 2020 Lakers were much better than the 2000 Lakers, yet both the Pacers and Heat took 2 games off of them, so clearly the Pacers couldnt have been better than the Heat.

Do you realize the Lakers would have had HCA and the Heat thrived in the no-HC environment? Lol

The Lakers in 2000 were the ones dealing with an injury to one of their best players, who basically missed two games and played injured the rest of the way vs. the 2020 Lakers catching a break with injuries to the opponents' 2 best players..

Yes, the 2000 Pacers were better when you factor in the injuries, you had a rookie Herro playing 40+ mpg when those two went down... they were down their rim protector and their point guard. The Heat were a 5 seed while the Pacers were #1 in their Conference as well.

Its not fluke, you dont advance to the finals as underdogs in both conference semi-finals and conference finals if its fluke. Luck can get you by at most 1 round, not 2. They are struggling for some other reasons, some players are missing, and the trade rumors did have an impact on the players too.

Can't forget the 2020 heat also won against the bucks in the semifinals when giannis crumbled to injury.

Imagine thinking Donovan Mitchell and Westbrook (not to mention Booker and Simmons) are better than Jimmy Butler.

Butler is probably not a top 10 player because you already have this 9 below lock as better than him

    Lebron
    Kawhi
    Giannis
    Durant
    Doncic
    A.Davis
    Jokic
    Curry
    Lillard

Which one of these 9 are you kicking out to put butler into the top 10? Maybe at exactly 10th, he arrives.

Why is Klay Thompson in the discussion here? Klay right now is injured, no one knows how he will play after his injuries.

Lillard definitely, and probably also Doncic who beyond being a stat stuffer by way of ball monopolization hasn't proven that he can lead a team deep in the playoffs, and also Giannis the perennial playoff ragdoll whose only great in transition. Lebron, KD, Kawhi, Davis are obv better, and hes on par with Curry who is a system player with no defense and Jokic who got manhandled by a washed up Dwight Howard.

    Butler is underrated af.
