When you list Marc Gasol and Matthews as evidence for depth, you already know you're conjuring up some BS
Respect though, I wouldnt be able to lie to myself like that, just in order to keep a narrative.

OP really doesn’t realize Wes Matthews and Gasol are both far more valuable than Kuzma. Lmao.

You guys didn't do anything.
You didn't mesh as a team. You didn't grow together. You didn't overcome a road block. You're not tactically outwitting teams. You're not thinking and outsmarting teams.
You just... joined KD and Kyrie.
You wanted it easy. You got it easy. Stop acting amazed.

We have the worst center rotation in NBA history
Till that gets fixed the league is still wide open

What depth did Lakers have to begin the season last year?
Caruso - dleague player who got signed
KCP - year after year fans wanted him gone and what has he done in his career up until the 2020 finals?
Kuz - suppose to be LA 3rd option, end up being 6th-7th, played like crap in the playoffs
Green - still living off his reputation from his 1-2 great shooting years in San Antonio, havent shot well in the playoff for years yet got paid 15mil for 2yrs. Play like garbage 2020 playoffs.
Rondo - 1 leg out of the league, play like garbage during regular season, 6 team in 5 years?
Dwight - 1 1/2 leg out the door, nobody gave him a chance until Boogie went down and lakers picked him up(only did well vs Denver in playoffs)
McGee - used only for the regular season, wasnt used in the playoffs
Morris - LA picked him off waivers
Bradley - didnt play in the bubble
Dwight and Mcgee didnt play/see minutes during the playoffs.
Lakers got played by Kawhi, stringing them along while other free agents get picked up by other teams. They scrambles and filled out the roster with left overs. BUT they are stacked? Lol

Re: Harden shamelessly rubbing in the Nets' stackedness
Kyrie Irving is not MVP level. Nets might have the best duo and the most talented third option but that third option may not like being a third option and has already shown that he does whatever he wants whenever he wants.

There is no excused its ring or bust. First year together Lebron got AD and won a ring with added left overs to fill in their roster and it worked.
Durant+Harden+Irving lower expectations
Lebron+Harden+Irving higher expectations, why? Even at 36yrs old?

Good.
I'm glad that Harden is doing that.

Nowhere did I say the Nets shouldn't be contending.

Yeah honestly most super teams feel overblown. The only exception I can think of off the top of my head was the 2017 Warriors, that team was just crazy stacked with talent and depth. Rockets almost ended them the next year tho.

Harden joining KD is extremely exciting for the sport. You acting like they're stacking the deck unfairly against the GOAT and AD + the best defense in the league, is very disingenuous. Who's the current betting favorites for the title this year? It's not the Nets.
The Nets don't have an infallible roster. They don't have perfect defensive players. They just happen to have arguably the two best offensive weapons in the game + another uber-talented player who also happens to be a bit of a head case.
It's not a guarantee one way or another. It's just exciting.

Re: Harden shamelessly rubbing in the Nets' stackedness
Lebron was a 1-trick pony before the "decision", with only 1 Finals run like Iverson, Dwight and Kidd
Then he teamed up with all the league's best players, which elevated him to champion
Twice he landed on teams favored to win the title in Year 1 (easiest path)
